Santa's sleigh is going to be very noisy this year ;).
Rattle rattle rattle lol
First lego present is under the tree. Well two presents under two trees really. Dd got the same present for daddy as she did for her friend (monster truck and truck/trailer). Both gift wrapped today. Dh has his present under he big tree. Friend has his under dd's tree. She was so excited to be able to give other people lego!
We're a bit reluctant to put any Lego under the tree yet - DS has already said he'll shake everything and listen for the Lego rattle noises! He wrote his letter to Santa asking for the tree hut Lego a couple of weeks ago and has already worked out the logistics....ie he's decided his presents can't go in the stocking as it's too small for tree hut Lego to fit, so he'll leave out the Xmas pillowcase instead!
I agree with the toys r us pricing...it's a bit cheeky actually.
LOL, not a hope anything is going under our tree until the kids are asleep on xmas eve! I told DS he couldn't open the advent calendar from the side. 10 minutes later, that's exactly what I caught him doing :/ I can't trust them with presents. Theirs or other peoples!
Dd told her little friend tonight he was getting Lego. Presents got done tonight instead of tomorrow. Sigh.
If this kidlet doesn't crash soon there will be no Christmas. Mummy is seriously cranky!
DD1 bought DD2 the friends soccer for her birthday (jan) hopefully she doesn't get it for x-mas!
Keep receipt. If she gets it, you can teach dd a lesson in returning gifts and being flexible :)
Had to assemble friends little bits Lego today before they went home. She said they had a busy day (and she was really quite hungover) so I did it to save her time and angst with impatient boy this arvo. ZF, the monster truck and transporter set (red one) is way cool!!
I have bought that one for DD, ZF. Just because I liked it lol.
The monster truck is a favorite here, the girls play with that one all the time.
Not sure where I put the receipt already... Lol!
maybe it can be exchanged for store credit if necessary....
is it bad that i'm already trying to budget what/how much lego for dd's birthday? been working out kidlet numbers for her birthday party so i have a rough idea how many sets i'll need for loot bags lol
might be time soon to try and work out invitation for her party - DH and I are both torn about whether to stick to lego friends given her current obsession, or whether to be a bit more universal and make it lego in general (and incorporate lego movie). if we do lego movie i can do minifigs as loot bags as well...
Nah not bad BG, just organised
My mum is stuck at home with broken ribs and is sick of herself, after giving a few suggestions for boredom busters I found myself saying 'you should get some lego!' lol
I'm hanging for x-mas apparently girls getting lego off dad & dsm plus my bro & SIL!
Were going to be kept busy over the holidays!
I'm hanging to do the coast guard boat & let the kids play with it in a tub of water, apparently it really floats!
i'm steering people away from lego gifts for dd seeing santa and her parents are getting her a little (ok, a lot!)
wish lego was more car friendly - heading to old town for funeral this arvo and need to keep dd entertained
I've seen that set MD. I think there's a blue one too but not 100% sure. Not that we need more lego lol!
Have seen that suitcase set. Contemplated it but decided not to go there for now. I get quite severely car sick and worry dd will as well if she is focussing down too much. She was a perfect poppet anyway. Graveside service in the rain and she was quiet and respectful. When she got antsy she asked to go for a walk and put a flower on her nanny b's grave. So we did. So very proud of her. If I had spare Lego at home she would her a reward set today lol
Ok, we may have had to go to kmart for mum. And we may have grabbed dd the city stunt plane as a reward for being such a good girl today...
