I didn't get anything, not even a card but honestly it was the BEST V Day in a long time.

I took the girls for a walk with HotI did some shopping and got myself a little piccolo bottle of wine and a block of the mint bubbly choc for DP and I.

Came home and the girls were asleep so straight into bed for them, relaxed and played monopoly on the PS3 with DP.

Had some outside time with the girls when they woke up, enjoyed just watching them sharing their toys and DP's joy at watching them wanting to go HIGHER on the swings and being silly on their roller coaster.

Had tea, bathed the girls and got them into bed at a remotely decent hour, out came the wine and choc where we relaxed and played more monopoly (only for me to be beaten ) then off to bed.

The best part, DP apologised for not being able to get me anything, he was sorry he couldn't get me a card and that he appreciates everything i'm doing right now with him out of action.

To have him say that and that he loves me was more than i could ask for on V Day, it was perfect.



The simple things in life are free, their also the ones that mean the most and yesterday was a GREAT day.
