your thoughts on santa

i was thinking the other day about the whole concept of santa and children. i just feel uncomfortable with the 'lying' to my DD about there being a santa. i know that it isn't a real hurtful lie or anything. if i do the whole santa thing she will be able to experience the magical joy of santa and christmas, but i just think its an untruth. then again everyone i know believed in santa at one point and werent scarred in any way when they found out the truth. am i being unreasonable? i have few years to consider this as she is only 4 months old but oh well.
