Just curious to see what others do for Christmas with their littlies - one year olds in particular! My DH and I agreed to not go to overboard cause there will be many years of that to come!
Santa is bringing Mackenzie:
- 2 books
- A Little People farm
- A small set of Mega blocks (Little Mermaid)
We were going to give her The NIght before Christmas as a present from us but she got given it the other day so prob won't give her anything now - maybe a new top but we'll see.
Mine are all beyond that age now, but for each of their firsts we have bought them a set of Peter Rabbit bowl/plate/mug/cutlery. And swimmers and a hooded swim towel. And books.
Eva will be 10.5 months at Christmas. She is getting 3 books, wooden stacking rings, talking Upsy Daisy doll, In the Night Garden dvd. (from me and Santa).
Rellies are getting her clothes.
Jake turned 1 a couple of days ago and I think we've gone a bit overboard lol
Santa is bringing Jake a ride on quad with trailer (not motorised, just one of those plastic ones lol) and a cement truck
From mummy and daddy he is getting:
2 Thomas Push Toys
Wagon with sand toys
Hooded towel
Torch
Learning puppy
Oops... I really think we've gone overboard!
But I put a whole heap on layby back in July, then lost the docket and couldn't remember what I got so I bought a few other things, then picked up the layby and thought OMG!!
Leila is getting a dolly, a jigsaw, some mega-block thingies from her papa, the rellos gave us cash (they live o/s) so we bought her a radio flyer push and steer trike with that.
oh and her grandma bought her some dolly clothes for the new doll...
DD is getting a little IKEA table and chair set and some big ABC flashcards ATM. But I'll probably buy her a few other little things tomorrow. I recently bought her three Seed t-shirts that were on sale but they were so cute I wanted to put them on her immediately and I also bought her a couple of books that have also been given to her early because I couldn't hold myself back. Silly mummy.
Ummm, a big John Deere dump truck and a few wooden Thomas trains and a lift the flap Thomas book. I don't think I've wrapped anything else for him LOL - I forget.
jensen is getting four big 'cat' trucks. 'big chris and drifter' figurine and a duplo lego car. The figurine and car will be for boxing day as my family is big and we get 2 christmases.
Kimmy is getting a paddle pool.. She loves water and I won't take her to the pool on my own (DH works weekends), but I would happily fill this up from the water tank for her to play.. She is also getting a plate/spoon/fork set (messmat etc) so she can start feeding herself if she chooses to..
L is getting a dancing Elmo, a big plastic slide and swing set, a clamshell sandpit/wading pool thing and a walker thing. His birthday was only 2 months ago and we are still unpacking unopened presents.
For Xmas last year (she was 10 months) she didnt get much from us. It was mainly from other people! We got her:
- Hi 5 DVD
- a couple of books
- inflatable paddle pool (I got it on ebay for $4 plus $8 postage, and it conveniently arrived on Xmas eve!)
Other people got her
- clothing
- Duplo
- more books
- 3 dolls (and they all knew they were all getting her dolls, and she doesnt even like dolls - she prefers her trains!!)
