Letter from Santa and Mrs Clause

Before my parents went on holidays (overseas) my Step Mum organised for a Santa letter to be sent to DD. DD got SUCH a kick out of it! She is REALLY into Santa this year and LOVES to collect the mail... so I thought I'd sneak out to the letterbox shortly and place a letter from Mrs Clause (because Santa is busy getting ready for tonight's big event!) and then leave one from Santa in the morning (I used to love that as a kid!). Here's what I've written - what do you think?

    Dear DD,

Santa and his Elves are very busy today getting ready for tonight! The Elves are wrapping the last of the Christmas Presents and packing Santa’s Sack to go in the Sleigh.

The reindeer are having a nap at the moment but the Elves will wake them shortly to get them ready for their big trip – they need brushing, and Rudolf’s nose needs to be polished so Santa can see! The snow in England is especially thick this year so Rudolf’s nose will need to be very bright!

Santa is looking forward to the warm weather in Australia tonight! Santa and his reindeer are going to be very thirsty by the time they get to you in (where we live), so could you please leave a drink for them? The Reindeer like to drink water but they can be a bit messy, so best to leave a plastic container like an old ice cream container for them to drink from! Oh, and Rudolf would love a carrot – it helps to make his nose shine brightly! The reindeer might be a bit tired so could you leave some Oats out for them? Did you know that that Oats help the reindeer to have energy to fly?

Santa heard that you are a very good cook and that you might be making biscuits today! He is looking forward to trying one of your biscuits when he gets to (where we live) tonight!

Don’t forget to leave your magic key out for Santa so he can leave a present for you under the tree!

Don’t forget to go to bed early tonight so that Santa can come visit!

    Merry Christmas!

    Dear DD,

WOW! What a good girl you’ve been this year! I really like how you have been so good at sharing with your friends G, K, J, H, L and all the other boys and girls at your crèche! And I especially like how you help your Mummy when her back is very sore. Keep up the good work! But don’t forget that it isn’t nice to dob on our friends or to have tantrums.

Rudolf and his friends really appreciated the drink you left for them – they aren’t used to the warmer weather you get here in Australia! And the snack was just what they needed – they were starting to get a bit tired! I hope they didn’t leave too much mess behind!

Thank you for my snack and drink. You are a very good cook!

Thank you for leaving your magical key out for me – it makes it so much easier to leave your presents under your tree! I really hope you like your presents this year!

Remember to be a good girl, keep your room tidy, clean your teeth, and to eat all your vegetables so I can visit you again next year!

    Merry Christmas!
