    Mothers Day plans

So how is everyone spending today? I was promised a lie in but the kids were so excited about their gifts (handprints on a canvas, and paper flowers awww) that they woke me at 6.30am to give them to me

DS1 has vaccumed the living room for me and later I am going out to the cinema with a friend to see Water for Elephants. So it's shaping up to be a good day.

we all snuggled in bed til about half 8, then Daddy took the poppet to write in cards while i had a shower. breakfast as a family, then we made a cake together (practice cake for poppet's bday in 3 weeks.

having a fairly easy dinner given we had roast last night with mum. we were thinking about a trip to the park or beach but we have a rather unhappy unwell little girl, so we're gonna stick close to home

it's nice to be acknowledged for a special day, but i'm pretty fortunate in that I get spoilt all year. as long as i'm with my family, i'm happy

I went out for a buffet brekky with my mum, sister and all the kids. It was delish!

The rest of the day will be spent doing nothing much. Just the way I like it.

Nothing much. DH made pancakes for brekkie which he brought into me in bed. Glenn & Evan gave me their gifts. Glenn, was soap & a facewasher & Evan was some bangles (both boys shopped at the school mothers day stall).
Nothing else from the other kids.
Then DH went out for the day with his mates.

Planning on getting off my butt in a moment & taking all 5 kids to spotlight & then maybe the playground at Macca's for Icecream or something.

My boys let me sleep in until 9am... then came in with their pressies. I cooked pancakes for breakfast, then we all played Lego until about 11am when I had a shower. We went across the road and got some lunch, and are now going to bake a cake for Nanny. We're off to my folks' for dinner.

My Mum took my boys shopping yesterday (I'm a single parent, and hell would freeze over before XH bought me a Mother's Day gift!) which was lovely of her. DS2 gave me a gorgeous dip set, DS1 gave me a lovely muffin tin. From the Mother's Day stall at school DS1 bought me a set of coasters, and DS2 bought me a nail clipper set. (I gave them the $5 each though lol!)

So a wonderful day all round.

Well, we accidentally arranged a Girls Night Out last night in Melbourne, despite the fact that three of the four of us are mothers so one of us should have been a bit more clued-up. So I stayed at my friend's last night because it was arranged well in advance and it's too hard to rearrange. After waking up at 6.40am, I had a very glamorous start to Mothers Day stuffing my face on my own at Maccas in Watergardens, then spending an hour waiting in cold, rainy weather for a train home to Woodend.

Very nice to finally be home. DD1 hasn't stopped saying "happy mothers day mummy". DP has gone to work so we're going to watch Mary Poppins after dinner and have our "special chocolate drink" with marshymellows. I'm pulling out all the stops for dinner and cooking cheese on toast

Today was nice. It had it's moments of sadness but overall it was nice.

I woke at about 8 with the kids wishing me "Happy Mother's Day" I got some beautiful magnets from DD and a beautiful frame from DS (from the mothers day stall), I also got a beautiful book made by DD and a gorgeous portrait made by DS (these are my favourite gifts!). I also got a lovely new handbag and purse from DH (but that was given to me a few weeks ago early ).

DH made me Chocolate French Toast (A french toast sandwich with melted chocolate inside... *drool*), as per my request last night, I had a lovely coffee. Then we met Lulu's mum for lunch (we had two of Lu's babies with us, she had one with her) and then we took Lu's babies to the Pier so they could say happy mother's day themselves, they sent some flowers out by sea. Home now, my babies are having PB sangers and Lu's babies are on their way home with DH. The oldest girl has gone to wish her beau's MIL happy mother's day and that's pretty much it.

I know I am truly blessed to have my babies, and I am truly blessed to be there for them. I would do anything I could to be able to bring Lucy back for her babies and her family.

    Happy Mother's Day xxx

Up at 6 to DD1 expecting DD2 to wake but she didn't relaxed in bed and got my presents (mum mug, veggie seeds, mini greenhouse and 2 music DVDs) then I did the dishes and some washing, DD cooked me bacon on toast and a coffe in my new mug.
We took the girls on the quads in the paddock, DD1 even rode one ALL ON HER OWN (proud mummy 200kg + bike riden by a 12kg 2 yr old ) , showered then off to DPs NAND for a late lunch with his nan, mum and sisters family. DP offered to drive so I drank , damn the wine was good!
    Home now watching masterchef

Kids and I stayed at my parents last night. Ds decided 4am was morning, so we got up and drove home and I went back to sleep for four hours while dh took the kids out. Then out to lunch with my grandmother, mum, sister and dd, four generations. It was lovely.

Oh and dh and ds finished the laying the floor boards in the living room. This made me very happy!!

I had a 'me' day. It was birthday 2 weeks ago and all I wanted was a new pair of boots. So I told that to my hubby and he gave me some money and I said I wanted for mothers day a day to go shopping by myself. Was a nice but weird not pushing a pram around all day

Bonus got my boots a shirt and a cd.

Disappointing tho I had money to spend and couldn't find much I liked. And came home to a house in exact same state I left it.
