I was just going to say "Do they know it's Christmas". LOVE that song (although very emotional). And I love John Lennon, and I love Rudolf, Little Drummer boy and Santa Claus is coming to town (particularly by Springstein)!! xo
I love "Do they know it's Christmas" by Band Aid - the 1984 version (half of you young folk wouldn't have been born then, or only babies LOL!), but the one they did a few years back is pretty good too. And John Lennon's I love too. I must download them LOL. As for the Traditionals I love The Little Drummer Boy too.

I love O Holy Night as well, but I can't stand hearing Mariah Carey sing it. I much prefer it sung in a choral arrangement or as a duet.
I also love O Little Town of Bethlehem. My sister and I used to sing it as a duet every christmas when we were both living at home.
And there's a version of Away in a Manger that we used to sing in 4 parts a capella - really haunting and beautiful melody. Gives me shivers.
O Holy Night would have to be another favourite too....
I like Slient night
Little Drummer Boy
Frosty the Snowman
Santa Claus is coming to town
Jingle bells (DS is learning it & Santa Claus at preschool I think.. he keeps coming home singing them and getting them mixed up. "Jingle bells in the snow.. and Santa Claus is coming to tooowwnn!" So cute)
Um, for my silly Christmas songs, I like any Christmas song that is the Chipmunks' version.. And "The night Santa went crazy" by Weird Al :P (But I only listen to that when DS isn't around hehe)
AUssie version of Jingle BElls....my DD#2 brought the words home from kindy last week - they are unreal....very aussie !!!!
MBear, you should look for the Bucko & Champs CDs, they are all Aussie Christmas Carols. My favourite is only about 15 seconds long but cracks me up....

I like how to make gravy by Paul kelly too and the aussie version of the twelve days of christmas. My favourite of all though is still Happy Xmas, war is over by John Lennon..
My sister popped one of my christmas cd's into the car cd player yesterday... a bit early than I usually start listening to carols but fun none the less.
I don't really have a favourite... but there are a few songs I hold very dear to my heart
Happy Xmas (War is Over) always makes me cry, I love it!
My favourite "real" Xmas carol is Silent Night. It's just a lovely melody, nice to sing... Makes me shiver![]()
