What to do if a present doesn't arrive in time?

I'm still waiting for my brother's Christmas present to arrive & I don't think it's going to make it. No big deal he can get it a bit late, but I'm thinking of what to do for Christmas day. Does putting a picture of what it is, inside a card, sound silly? What other options can you think of, that's all I've got!

this box is filled with the all the love I put into buying you your actual present, which will be here soon
and wrap it up with a bow

As it's for an adult, a picture of it should be fine!

I'm waiting for my mum and sister's presents to come. Got at a party a couple of weeks ago, promised we'd have them for Christmas. Not impressed if they don't arrive as I have to take them 300km away! I did get Mum and Sis a little something else just so they have something to open. I got Mum a mug and Sis some bath stuff... just so I know they have something to open, with a promise of what the other things are!

A few years back my Birthday present from Mum and Dad didn't arrive in time. They gave me a card with a picture and an IOU voucher they did up. It was sweet and I wasn't bothered in the slightest.

Last year my mum and dad got us a tv. Obviously we hadn't picked it yet so they put a picture in an envelope with a card.
