I'd love to hear if the Easter Bunny visited your house... how did you know he'd been and what were the reactions in the house?
OURS:
Saturday DP's niece (6) came to our new house (not moved in yet) so we took her and DD outside and while we were out DP and SIL hid eggs all around the house.
It didn't take long for DD to realise the eggs went into her bag and to start collecting.
This morning we had a little bag and a trail of eggs to her presents (book, bunny ears and mini torch with 4 eggs) and DD2's pressies (book, ears and giant bunny teddy).
She loved it and after yesterday she knew exactly what to do with the trail of eggs.
I am not a huge fan of kids and LOTS of chocolate and DD got HEAPS (thus us buying a pack with only 4 eggs), DP and i did the easter egg hunt knowing full well we will prob eat most of them BUT that said she figured out how to unwrap the hollow eggs and helped herself to TWO this morning.. was quite funny but now they are hidden.
The girls left their baskets out last night and when they woke this morning the easter bunny had left them something special.
Then this morning we had our family & friends over for a morning tea. I had organised a massive easter egg hunt for the kids (9 kids in total). As it's raining we had to do it indoors, and the kids absolutely loved it! And there was a prize for who got the most eggs. The kids had an absolute ball, there was some really yummy food for the adults, definitely a great day. It's STILL raining here, and dh & the girls are in the pool while I enjoy a cup of tea
the easter bunny visited here while DD napped yesterday (knew it would be too much for her today as we were going out). he left a biiiiiiiiiig egg with mummy's purple bunny, and it took no time for DD to spot it in the chair! she got into it, pulled at the box a bit until we took it out, then she ripped the foil off piece by piece until it was uncovered, tried to bite it but couldn't. Daddy broke the side in, she ate a couple of small pieces (with almost zero mess!), then we put the rest in the fridge and she asked for prunes while dinner cooked lol
today we got up and had an easy morning, showered and headed to my folks place. got some photos of her outside for the day, had lunch with parents and my brother. Daddy gave DD waaaaaaay too much dessert, she was over tired, over stimulated, and a right mess when it came to me finally getting her to have a sleep. wasnt' fun for me and i'm sure it wasn't for her either.
oh well, it's done for another year now - next year will be more interactive and less stressful lol
