We stayed in a gorgeous villa in seminyak, was plenty of room for 6 adults & 3 kids. Have to get on comp to look up name It was 4 bedroom two with ensuite & two shared a bathroom. They put up temporary pool fencing & gate on the stairs, provided cots etc. We had our own car & driver so that was included in rental so we hired car seats from Bali Baby Hire. It was great having our own space & it was cheap!
ETA - it was villa Erama, details are on trip advisor. There are several villas managed by the same lady who was really helpful.

We've been three times with the boys and I think it's a great place for a family holiday. We usually stay in Legian or Seminyak, mostly because we have a friend living there. We did the villa one year and it was fantastic. No fence around the pool but the boys were a bit older and weren't allowed out there without an adult. There are literally heaps of hotels with pools and many aren't too dear. There are so many restaurants in that area you don't need them on site. But we did find we needed two rooms as the rooms seem to mostly only take 2 people so that doubles the cost.
