Bali....anyone been?

Ello!

We're planning an overseas trip next year and considering Bali as the destination as we have never been there before. We're looking at 2 weeks there. We know Kuta is the main hub and busy area where everyone seems to be. Is it nicer further north in areas like Legian Beach? We are after a pretty relaxing holiday next year as we dont get the chance to get away much....
If anyone has been to Bali and stayed can you recommend anything? Places to stay and where to avoid?
