    Pregnant and wanting to travel

DH and I are pregos with our first and I'd like to take one more adventure holiday, maybe somewhere in Thailand. Would it be safe to go during my second trimester? I'm a bit worried that I may get food poisoning or something that would harm bubs. Any suggestions of places to go?
    Thanks so much.

The second tri would be the best time to go.

I'd probably avoid Thailand though. They are having political issues there at the moment and it would be awful for you to get stuck there whilst you are pregnant. The only time I've ever had food poisoning was in Thailand from one sip of orange juice which had been watered down with the local water. I was sick for days and thought I was going to die. I've travelled extensively and am extremely careful with food and drink & it still happened to me. Due to both those reasons I'd give Thailand a miss.

Personally I'd be thinking more along the lines of a not so adventurous holiday. One where the food is more like home (cos you can be very fussy about food all the way through) and where the water is safe to drink.

we went to Ireland and Italy when i was 32 weeks and returned when i was 35 weeks.

the travel was tiring at that late stage and was a bit uncomfy in the seats for so long (have to do loads of excersises for circulation etc as well).

we had a great time, although Ireland was having dodgy water at the time so had to have bottled water. also the food options there were tiresome...

i'd recommend Fiji! lived there for awhile and the tourist stuff is pretty top notch.

I went to Thailand at 12 weeks pregnant. It was probably not the best time to go as i was really tired all the time but we booked it 8 months earlier and there was no exchange/refund on the tickets. I still had a great time though but i would wait until around 18 weeks or so until you are feeling really good.
