We are limited on when we can go on holidays. DD is wanting to go to queensland and I want to take DD and DH to the barrier reef. But none of us cope too well with humidity. Am I totally daft to be considering Port Douglas in January?
We don't swim in the sea much, normally spend most of our holiday lying by the pool, going for a walk and eating!
Is the reef OK to visit in January? - I hear the reef tours have lycra suits so for the jelly fish.
What about daintree/cape tribulation tours? Do they run in the wet season?
HOw big is Port Douglas now? I haven't been there for 26 year (oops that is scary) and it was a tiny town then.
And any recommendations for accommodation that have kitchens and decent sized pools?
Also, is it worth spending a few nights in Cairns?
