Your fave holiday spot in Aussie

Mine is Scotts Head. About 50kms south of Coffs Harbour 12 kms off the Pacific Highway.
Its a beautiful small coastal town. My parents live there. There are only a few hundred people live there. It's really laid back, with beautiful beaches.
Oh & the bestest food ever at my mum's cafe!

We love Apollo Bay, we stay inland just a bit, in some beautiful cabins in the Ottoway ranges, LOve the rainforests and waterfalls. And a plus is the beach is just a short drive too. The kids love it there and we enjoy the great ocean rd drive.

We went to South West Rocks last year. It was lovely.
    I love the Snowy Mountains.
    I also like Lennox Head.
TBH it doesn't really matter where I go - anywhere that my family is staying is my favourite place. We try and go on holidays together and rent flats or houses next door to each other. My children love spending time with their aunts and uncles and cousins.
I've been away with my ILs before and it was awful - just like being at home with them so I would also say anywhere that my ILs aren't :P

South West Rocks is nice. We went to the bowling club there for my 20th birthday. Memories. We lived in Scotts Head at the time. I still hate that DH made me move, but I'd rather be with him!

Somewhere by the ocean - with not too many other people about. There are still some parts on the south coast of NSW that fit the bill.

Great idea for a thread! Certainly doesn't encourage me to concentrate on getting my work done though

Apollo Bay is beautiful and I also think Bargara Beach and 1770, not far from Bundaberg are fabulous for a cruisy holiday.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but just on the side if anyone has any suggestions for places to stay in Perth and Margaret River/Albany for fave spots I would LOVE to hear about them!!

Ooh, I don't mind Ettalong. I know how to get to & from there, but I'd be stuffed if I had to go past Umina. I'm a country gal. That's as far as I've gone into the big city in my own car.
Went to Sydney once, but followed mum & dad.
Gosford ain't exactly the big city for most, but for me it's huge!
Dubbo's too big for me to live in. Coffs I could handle, coz it's on the beach. Maybe. Only coz I know my way around those two. Anywhere else & I'm lost!
