What's your favourite Aldi product?

I love the $2 Dishwasher powder. It's cheap and washes the dishes just as well as Finish, I've also found I don't need as much of it. I'd never buy any other brand now.

Toilet paper! I love thier TP, it's a bargain!!

I've recently discovered their washing powder, it's around $6 for 3kg. Such a bargain and washes the clothes well. PLUS it doesn't give me Eczema! BONUS!

The shampoo is great as well, i think it's around $2.

Actually, nothing I've bought from Aldi is crap but these are my favourites.

I was asked this the other week. I really love the docket at the end. BUT I hate that I don't have ALDI here in Cairns. I called them the other week & they told me they have no plans what so ever to bring Aldi here

Really?? There are like 3 on my side of canberra... I think its a bit excessive but they wont even open one up there??

We do all our shopping at Aldi, it's great! I love their Melting Moments biscuits, mmmm...and their honey soy chips *drool* Too many other products to name! But I do love their shampoo, bread, sliced meat (for sangas), and heaps more

Oh the Melting moments are divine.
Cafe Fruit loaf is fantastic.
I happily use the sensitve washing powder and soaker.
Plain and seaweed rice crackers are additive free (well the last I checked, so double check yourself)

Nope she said there is no plan to bring Aldi this far up, the only go as far as Bundy.

DH thinks it would be too costly for them, its not justa store they would have to open but distribution etc. Which I guess I get. If its going to cost them more to bring their product here then they would need to increase their prices which in turn isn't what aldi is about

They have a 'catchment' criteria, and I'm not sure who does the research to determine how many people will use the new stores. We have some around us...but by 'around', I mean they are roughly about 30kms away! I've asked a rello (on the 'inside' of development) and she said the nearest large town to me apparently doesn't qualify, though she's questioned it. I told her that if they built one, people who make the trek to the other ones further away would use the new one and the others would not suffer in income from that diversion. So, we'll see, but it's not looking likely.

Well tell her that I think Cairns & its lower income families would LOVE aldi & it would thrive here. Hell just with my family of 7, we would make it worth their while LOL

They said that to me about three of the stores in Brisbane. Lutwyche, Ashgrove and now Kelvin Grove. It is partly due to they have to negotiate or I think I read about Coles and Woolies putting up strong opposition to some sites, in some way.

Yeah we have the options of Coles, woolies & then ridiculously expensive IGA stores. I shop in coles now

party pies these need their own line $3.99 for 24 and they are yum-o

I don't find their meat to be that cheap, but fruit and veg can be although it's hit and miss at our local one with quality and availability.

The fresh produce at our local Aldi is always terrible.

Loves...
Bread, ice cream (esp the raspberry and white choc. It's awesome!), chocolate, pasta, pasta sauce, greek yogurt, thier specials can be fab - we got a train set with table for $70 just before christmas. The same one at a toy store was around $120.

I avoid Aldi all year except when the ski gear sale is on and then I buy the socks - they are fantastic.

The aldi washing powder - there was a thread on here about it breaking washing machines. I'll have a look for it.

I love their apricot fruit bars! They have heaps more of the pureed fruit in them than any others you buy at coles or woolies
