dh stacks the dishwasher each night, so I have no idea how he fits everything in, but he manages to. If it's up to me to do the dishes, I wash the big ones. I'm not very good at stacking the dishwasher
Yeah there were lots that I liked, it's so hard to choose. The Asko was cool but I didn't see any white ones so didn't look too hard - the whole kitchen is white so that's what we're going for with the dishwasher. Same with the Blanco.
I was looking at the LG's (something I want is childlock and halfload) but one of the salespeople told me that the LG half load doesn't actually use less water, whereas the Blanco and Bosch half loads use just over half the water, so sort of more a true half load. I sort of like the idea of doing a half load around lunchtime to combat stuck on breakfast cereal. Who knows.
ETA: Lol Jodi, perhaps your dh has more Tetris experience? I often sing the Tetris music when we're packing the car at IKEA. No idea how I'm still alive.
Nelle, I'm 90% sure that Asko make white ones. Have a look online, if you're keen. They certainly did recently, my SIL has one (and loves it).
One thing that you may or may not be concerned about.......the Bosch is sooooo quiet. The salesman told me that, how the Bosch (and I think Asko is similar) machines are ultra quiet. I wasn't too bothered at the time, it certainly didn't sway my decision, but now that I have it I LOVE how quiet it is. Even DH is impressed, and told me I made a good choice . Love the childlock too, I think that was number 1 requirement on my list hehe. Oh, and I don't have a model with the cutlery drawer, but they sure look good, don't they!!!!

We have had a dishdrawer for 3 yrs, I have replaced the moter 3 times and the drainage pipe once.
I think the fact you can do small loads is good, but that's probably the only thing. The 'quick; cycle doesn't clean, and the 'normal'cycle takes 2 hours. (111 mins) And doesn't really clean all that well anyway, the dishes have a rough feel about them sometimes'.
I just got back from retravision today, I bought a bosch to replace it, as that was recomended by my dishwasher repair man. The drainage pipe has gone again and I don't want to fork out the $700.
Teh dishwasher guy says he replaces the motors in them all the time, as they burn out very quickly, I only have 1 child so we don't have THAT much washing either.
No you're not too late - in that, just so everyone can sleep well at night and have some closure, I got a Bosch.
The seller was that I have a lot of massive trays and other big things that I hate washing, so if I can fit the tall things in the dishwasher that would be fantastic.
And I got the model with the cutlery drawer which is awesome.
We had been haggling a bit, going from store to store to get the best price, and then when we walked in the store we'd decided on, it was another $150 cheaper, on sale that day, because they had a few and were trying to move a few on! So pretty happy.
