Because I would rather encourage my body to go into labour then wait til 10 days over when I have no choice but to use more invasive procedures.

I often have the s&s done too, and I think they do help me. My midwife said it usually takes a couple of attempts before you get results, and I'd say it's generally been the second try that gets things moving for me. Tough to tell what would have happened otherwise, but I don't mind having the extra "nudge" at that stage of the game!
    You're almost there Beatrix!

That'd be my personal preference too Ness. Though I have only ever had it done for one baby (2 or 3 within a few days for dd2) and it was only so I could have her and relax instead of trying to find a new place to live and birth days/moments before birth... She was born 920pm thurs and we moved the following wed so really any longer and it wouldve been pretty difficult and stressful. Hopefully your little one will make their grand entrance before you even have your next scheduled mw appointment. PS saw your belly pick- you must be ALL baby love you look teeny for 39 1/2wks!

You know how I'm absolutely mental and keep preparing things before I'm even pregnant, even if they're things that wouldn't normally be organised until mid-pregnancy? Yeah. I'm writing my birth plan I'm bored! And my mind keeps telling me that if I get completely organised the Universe will know I'm serious and finally give me a baby

Can't hurt anyways, Teni. Hope you get that BFP soon!

Feeling so full of energy here lately! Well, until about 6:30, anyways - after that I crash. But during the day I've been cleaning, organizing, sorting, baking, etc. It's great! And, the Bean seems to have hiccups semi-regularly these days, which is kind of fun. I do love feeling the little squiggles and kicks. He/she is dancing around right now....

Have my 19 week ultrasound scheduled for just less than two weeks from now. Really looking forward to that!

Ran into my midwife at the grocery store a couple of days ago. And confused her with the midwife I had a couple of years ago. Oops. (I'll blame it on the baby... ) I was talking to her for a bit, and said "yes, they said I'm going to go back with Debbie now" and she was like "that's me." And I was like "Yes. Yes it is. Of course that's you. I'll just crawl in a hole now..." She said that she and the other midwife get mistaken for each other often. That made me feel a little better. Not much, but a little.

Hope all is well with everyone else!

cricket- baby brain is a great excuse for most things!!

Thanks for all the birthing vibes.

still absolutely nothing going on labour wise and its getting very frustrating. Yesterday was a very poor me day and today I have made Dh take the day off and spend it with me. I don't think im going to go into labour on my own.
The worst thing is since I have had such quick labours I am missing out on important events because I don't feel comfortable going. We have a wedding tomorrow buts its too far from home for me, a 30th next weekend as well which at 41 weeks pg will not be happening and my parents leave for two weeks on the 13th and mum wants me to have baby before then (grrr dont know why they booked a holiday that close to my due date anyway!!!)

Beatrix: hope things start happening for you soon. I know it can feel like you'll be pregnant forever and no doubt I'll be whinging when I get to the last few weeks too.

Teni: it can't hurt to be organised

Forgot to update had u/s yesterday and Bub had a heartbeat yay! Measuring about 7 1/2 weeks. But knowing what I'm like in going over it will probably be born in December. Bleeding has stopped again which is good and getting morning sickness which helps reassure me.

Well had my app this morning

I am 3-4cm dilated but since its baby number 4 they are meh about it LOL, very soft but about 2cm thick. She did s & s but nothing has really happened since. No bleeding, plug or cramps so Dh ended up going to the wedding. He is only 20min away and i reckon would have his phone in his hand LOL

Have decided to take a proactive approach since tomorrow is due date.. once DH gets home we are DTD whether he likes it or not. I have also moved all my birthing stuff down to the lounge and set it up ROFL... towel on the table, clothes out and medical supplies down there. Havent brought oxygen in from carport yet though... but think Im going to anyway.

Whats the worst that can happen? I have to move it all in the morning.

Positive thinking as its my midwifes turn to man the phones tonight so if i ring it will be her immediately... got to be a sign!!

Lol no dancing but have managed bedroom antics.

The worst part is laying for so long after it because baby hates when we DTD normally. Flat on back isn't comfortable.
