    Homebirth in Perth?

    HI,
I want to home birth my third baby, but I've been knocked back by the community midwifery program we have here in Perth, as I had to have a manual removal of retained placenta with my first birth. I've had a very uncomplicated second birth, so I'm confident I will be able to have a nice simple natural homebirth, but basically I'm wondering how I go about finding a midwife who will take me on with that history? Or is it firm that I have to have a hospital birth? Anyone with experience in this?

Do you have independent midwives in Perth? Your best bet would be to have a talk to a midwife and see if she is able to provide care for you. The girls in the homebirth thread might be able to help https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...sion-11/page15

    Good luck xx

You absolutely can have a homebirth, but you will need to find and fund an Independent Midwife yourselves.
CMP should be able to give you some names, otherwise you can check out http://www.birthrites.org/providers/homebirth
