Okay, so this shouldn't bother me, having had a baby and all - but having taken five years to get a pap smear i am not surprised that this is grating on my nerves.
New government legislation of some form requires that the doctor performing insertion has to VIEW that you have your period when it is inserted.
Ok, ok so I should get over it and put my pride aside, but really? I'm really vulnerable with this sort of stuff, and terrified of doctors as it is, and now I have to wear a pad and drop my daks so a doctor can inspect that I have my period.
Don't wanna make it easy do they? Took all the guts in the world to get a papsmear and vaginal exam last week and now this...
Has anyone else who has had theirs recently inserted experienced or heard of this? Do other GP's take it seriously?
