A bit of back ground I guess is the way to start I have had GD on all my pregnancies with my fist it was diet controlled and I was induced at 6 days over waters broken and drip in it wasn't a long labour but I had a very tiring pushing stage and baby went in to distress had a failed vacuum and ended in c section, my second was a natural labour and a vbac hard work but worth it plus he was big 10.2
my third birth I was induced as GD was quite bad baby was a good size and i was in slow labour as it was so at nearly 39 weeks i was brought in and drip in took them a few goes to break my waters which i wasn't worried about as the contractions although regular were more than manageable and doing something as I was 2cm and 80% effaced when they put me on the drip so by the time they managed to break my water I was 6 and fully effaced, they were worried about the cord coming down as on till in in established labour and water go my babies like to stay high up think they have a nice cushion of water there LOL but as soon as waters were broken I could feel baby turn in to position and i had to push he was born with in 15 minutes of pushing but had great support midwife was great she kept telling me to trust my body and go with it
so why am i asking about inducing again well every other time before i went in to labour my self or other wise I knew how far dilated I was so always felt confident some thing had started and i was ready, this time i haven't got a clue I know from a scan at 34 weeks I think, my cervix was very short 1.6cm so that would mean something is happening wouldn't it !!any body know what that would be to dialiation by any chance
I know on Monday they are going to induce with breaking my waters if they can or else gel but even though ive done this 3 times already Im scared more to do with the pain and any tips to keep me focused would be great please my gd is quite bad now and baby is a classic GD baby big fat tummy although I know she wont be huge but a good size I think. I avoided the epidural last time and used gas and air and it was brilliant and hope to do the same this time liked being able to walk around after i had DS and have a shower
I have a trainee doula and my great DH who thinks ILL spit her out LOL but still a bit nervous of the pain and to be honest Ild rather start slow and build from there not go from 0 to contractions every 2 minutes I am hyper sensitive to the drip im not sure which they used on me before I just know they had to turn it off as i responded to well thankfully they did as well
any way well done if you got this far in my ramblings and tips please girls and guys
