    Bed time feed??

Just wanted to know if anyone else does a top up before putting bub to bed?

I've always done it with both of mine. I'd do feed, bit of play time, bath, massage, top up, bed.

Is there any reason I shouldn't be doing this? I fed my DD just before bed time right up until we stopped feeding at 16 months and it was never a problem. Tried to skip it tonight and DS was NOT happy! Wouldn't settle until I got him up and fed him again.

I don't feed to sleep, neither of my babies have ever fallen asleep at the breast.

willow , i think theres nothing wrong with it at all ... some warm sweet milk is comfortig just before bed and theres no need to not do it ( that i can really see ) if it feels right for you and bub , then dont stop it ... .

Willow, I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all. Even if they fall asleep at the breast some of the time I don't see it as a problem. If it works for you, go for it. BTW I did with both of mine too and they both go to sleep just fine now without it.

    Hey Willow

Every single night I breastfeed and snuggle my DD before I pop her into bed. We sit in our big comfy chair that we have for bf'ing in, which is in her room and we have the most beatiful feed and cuddles. I absolutely love it. Some nights she may not be ready to sleep but she feeds, plays with my hair, pulls my nose etc!, or may even fall asleep, and I just use it to take a moment to thank God for giving me such a precious gift!

So I think a feed before bed is a wonderful thing. Enjoy it!!
