    The end of an era

I didn't know it at the time but last Thursday morning was Sophia's last breastfeed. I'm both sad and happy at the same time as I've been trying to encourage her to wean for the last couple of months but I do miss it! She loves, sorry loved, her boobie and I never really imagined a day would come when she'd turn her face away from it.

Oh well, I get to start all over again in just five months. Bring on the cabbage leaves!

Eugenia, bfing my first DS ended the same way. One day he had a bf, the next day he did not. Nor the next. We had our last feed without me even knowing. It is something I missed, but I am glad that at least he chose the time. I think Sophia is very lucky to have been allowed to choose when to stop. And it's great news that you will be able to start bfing again really soon.

It's funny, I know women who couldn't wait to stop breastfeeding but I've always enjoyed it. But I suppose that after 2 years, 1 month and 1 week I can't really complain that it ended too soon. And it'll be nice to wear normal bras for a couple of months.
