Well I'm back to work part-time in just three short weeks and still have a booby boy on my hands. I offer bb whenever he wants it but DS usually has four actual "feeds" (you know apart from the odd suck here and there...like the I fell over and need booby, my teeth are coming I need booby, I'm bored and need booby, ooh just saw the booby so I need booby-- the usual). Anyhoo the last few days I have managed to get him down to three a day by introducing some cows milk but have noticed his poo has been really mucousy. DS has a history of silent reflux and bloody stools and some other "issues" so I stopped the cows milk, which he didn't really seem to like anyway. A friend suggested goats milk as a more gentle alternative and I tried it today and he seemed to really enjoy it-- drank more than he ever did of the bovine juice.
My question is who else has introduced goats milk and does it have the same nutritional values or will he be missing out on something? He'll be down to two feeds a day when I head back to work and hopefully one not long after that so I'm keen to find something that works and is the best possible solution. He does eat other calcium rich foods but doesn't like cheese (I know he's strange) and certainly would not eat enough to get all he would need in a day.
TIA
Hope x
