Hi Hope,
I am a nutritionist and always recommend goats milk over any other milk for babies as it is most similar in composition to human breast milk. It is also lower in lactose so is much easier to digest. Cows milk is very mucous forming and is not easily tolerated by many people, goats milk is certainly a better choice.
As far as the calcium is concerned, contrary to general belief dairy is actually not a great source of calcium as it is in a form that is difficult to utilise. You are much better off using other sources of calcium such as green leafy vegetables, fish, beans, oats, etc.
