Another woohoo for us - passed my Mum's bfing achievement with me!

Well, Lucy is now over 15 months and still bfing - which gets me past the age my Mum bf me for!

Sounds silly, I know, but I have always had little goals along our bfing journey. Plus, knowing that bfing for that long was quite unusual in the 70s, I thought it was the least I could do for my DD. I hope she does even better one day!

Our next goal is 18 months (but that seems a given) and then 24 months. She's only just cut down on one of her morning bfs so still has three a day.

I so hope she wants to continue for a lot longer yet, I'll be very sad to end this part of our special relationship. All those lovely early morning snuggles while she bfs in bed (and I don't have to brave the winter chill)... I even get to sleep in sometimes - how's that for the good stuff!

Congrats to you both Jennifer! DS is 16 months and still a boobie loving boy - I've well surpassed my mum as my brother got the most but still self weaned at 9 months! I'm quite sure we'll hit the 24 month mark as DS still gets a MINIMUM of 4 feeds in 24 hours and sometimes more if we are relaxing at home and he asks for it! I love the cuddles and love that are part of the breastfeeding experience. Well done and good luck for the future!
