    Recommended books on weaning?

Does anyone have any books they can recommend for introducing solids and weaning their infants.

Please tell me what is was about the book that you like.

    Thanks

    Hi M2J

You changed your name since our belly buddy days! I hope you are well!

I don't have a book but a DVD (there is a book too though) Baby Led Weaning by .I borrowed a copy from my ABA group. It explains what BLW is and how to start. I have found it helpful because I didn't realy understand how BLW worked exactly.

I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I bet if you contact the ABA, that they'll have some great resources for you.

The ABA's booklet on Introducing Solids (if that's what it was called, it's in my DD's room and she's having a nap) is about Baby-Led solids and introducing 'family foods'. It was my bible with my DD and she's been a great eater, I think because I stuck to their advice. They also have a great booklet on 'Gentle Weaning'. The booklets are around $5 each and were far better than any books I came across in a book shop. Not too long either. Go to Australian Breastfeeding Association and you can order online.

I was going to recommend the ABA booklet also! It's such great, sensible advice and all for $5!
