Is there some way to change the routine???

Don't get me wrong, I love my little man dearly but right now I want to wring his little neck!!!

The sleeping arrangements are as follows....
His cot, side rail removed, pushed flush up against my side of the bed.

I got the mood for the snuggles last night and I was half hoping the extra warmth from my body heat would make him sleep better So I pulled Noah in bed with me...

Well, not only have I fed him every 30 mins but he wakes up at 4am deciding it is a great time to play and chat loudly causing me to have to get up and leave the bedroom so daddy can sleep.

Noah used to be hourly and 30 min feeds in the beginning and somehow they got stretched to 3 hourly but in the last week it has gone back to the old patterns. Now I have the problem of him having a pooey nappy 6-7 times a day and because of that he has blood in his poo too! I need to stop this vicious cycle because it isn't doing us any good but he is unwell with a cold and I don't want to deny him any milk either. Any suggestions??

Also is dark green mucousy poo normal???? I am half tempted to go to the dr but he sees the nurse on fri for his shots...

    HI,

We could all ring their necks at some points - despite how much we love them! There are ways to change their routine, but not while they are sick! You have just got to bunker down and get through it. It's tough. Often when we have a cold, our throat feels scratchy and we are frequently reaching for a drink, or our nose is snuffly and we can't breathe properly. I would think that when he is well again, he will stretch out to his previous routine. Re the poo - don't worry about it. Wear sunglasses to change the nappy so you can't see what colour it is. It will sort out as he get better.
He probably thought he was in baby heaven last night - mum actually getting the snuggles and letting him breastfeed all night! Lucky boy! have a cuppa and a hot shower and see what another day brings.
    Regards
    Barb

Thanks Barb, I didn't think it would be fair to him to stretch out the feeds, I am actually sick at the moment myself with a sore throat and it is nice to soothe with a warm drink. I am surprised he doesn't want to sleep more though, I sure wish he did because I sure do

I guess it is time to start brewing the lattes then and bunker down and give this boy more snuggles, he will be shoving me away soon enough saying I am a smother so I need to get them in now
