it's funny reading about your due dates. Nina and Ash, at 25 wks i had a normal preganancy (apart from a hiccup at 16wks when i was told i was going to miscarry). at 28 wks my normal pg turned into a nightmare, with my waters breaking. Then 2 weeks later on the 26/2 B was born :) B was due on the 5/5
so there i have fitted some of your dates into my mini story :D
-
-
***** Sally.....nice way to freak me out man!!! Hahahaha just kidding although just goes to show, nothing is EVER planned in life is it???
Ash...now that you have said all that I bet you jellybean doesn't show on ANY of those days...hahaha keep ya all guessing..."I'll come when I'm ready thanks, I'll show all of you, you'll all be wrong!"
Talking about top heavy, At the moment I am a 12E!! OMG! Before I was pregnant I was a 10DD
...God knows what size I will be when the milk comes in! It is scary thinking about it.
-
You cannot plan everything... because if you do plan something will come along and stuff it up. the day before b was born i was supposed to be going out to dinner with my fiance for his 21st. the hospital was going to let me out into Subiaco (where KEMH is) just for an hr and half for dinner. LOL, i woke up on the sat morn in incredible pain and spent the entire day in the labour ward! LOL happy 21st your a daddy now. brendans bday is the day b4 his dad's. I knew i was going to be mummy before i was 21, my bday is 19/5 b due on 5/5. but we weren't expecting Nigel to be a dad before his bday!.
LOL, 12E, i feel sooo sorry for you... i was a 12B before Brendan, got to a 16D just before birth, my milk came in and BAM, lol, 16DD! I'm back into a 14C now. :hugs: you must have sooo much trouble finding comfy bras that fit, but i bet your partner loves em! lol
-
I had El at 20 years, 1 month and 2 days. Terry was 22. I got myself fitted for a bra as they went down, then up when I got pg then stayed up until my milk dried and went down. I'm a 36C or 14C. But I never realised they were that big. They look smaller to me, lol!
-
I'm currently about an 18G and i was a 12E pre-pg. i got banned from trying to shop at bras n things a long time ago, and now ever a trip to myers ends in tears!!!
-
Oh, wow my neck was killing me with DD, but G!! I feel soo sorry for you girls... :grouphug:
-
Oh Ash :hugs: how come you were banned from shopping and B&T?
-
I find it hard enough finding bras in my size....but holy crap Ash!! G???? I had a cry in the change room when I was trying on maternity bras....I can't wear the pretty ones anymore. (I LOVE the Kayser Brazillian range) I have to wear these beige coloured MASSIVE cupped things now that stick out the top of some of my tops....very unnatractive! Now I can't wear some things... So I was having an identity crisis, with the bras and now the clothes going up 2 sizes.... farout man All I can say is that I had better go back to a size 8 after I have bubby. Can't handle this much longer.
I'll stop complaining now.....
-
PMSL, Cat, it's because Anthony got sick of me bursting into tears when we left the store each time nothing fit!!! I tend to be quite entertaining in the crying over nothing way when it comes to bra shopping.
I haven't bought something pretty looking in i don't know how long!!! Ahh to be fourteen with a softcup 10A again!! =( Who knows where they came from too, none of the women in my family have boobs... i mean, seriously, i know size tends to depend on where the fat deposits in your chest region are so maybe my 'biological sperm' had man-boobs??!?!?!?!! :P
The most frustrating thing for me has always been that they're too painful for a lot of exercise or aerobic-type workouts as well, so the bigger they get the more weight i put on. Pregnancy has been the best thing for the associated upper back pain because now im all balanced out... unfortunately pregnancy can also account for the lower back pain... Argh, the joys~! :P
Nina, i'm hoping i make it back to a size 12. I'm not really weighty anywhere else so to speak, i still take the same size pants as before, just that a properly fitted bra ends up being an 18... go figure =S So i understand what you mean...
Goodness me, can i talk or what. It's all i seem to do these days. I barely know what i'm saying when i speak verbally, but i can type and type and type for hours. Where is this creative genius in me, if it were around i swear i could write a damn novel!
-
Ash, you'll have no worries goingback to a 12 after bub!!
What have you all got planned for the weekend?
Joel and I have a BBQ at a friends place. Kinda don't want to go though cause they will all be drinking, I won't be and it gets boring after a while.
I sometimes wish that I could go back to the way things were before (Drinking, partying, going to bed late and not worrying) but then I remember that in 3mths time I will have everything that I have ALWAYS wanted and I wouldn't give that up for all the partying and drinking in the world.
-
Yeah i'm off to a 21st... apparently it's a quiet non-drinking crowd so it shouldn't be too bad.
But it's also the ex-'love' of DP so the green eyed monsters sort of on edge... lol
-
Had my work Xmas party tonight. Was great. Lots were slowly getting drunker. I had 5 drinks, only 3 with alcohol. I'm not much of drinker. It was so much fun to hang out with people and relax. But I only knew people from my work, and I've only worked there 2 weeks. Its childcare and the owner has 3 centres.
-
Good to see you girls getting out and about having fun :D Well my relationship status with Nigel had moved from "ex fiance, stupid bastard" to "just friends". LOL
He took me out last night to "talk", we ended up going tenpin bowling with our bro's then after a bit of driving around Perth, he decided it'd be nice to go for a walk along the beach. So there we were walking along the beach watching the sun set :) It was lovely, I haven't been to the beach for years! He's really making an effort to be nice and to be friends. It's nice to be able to be friends for Brendan's sake... cos it's no good me dropping Brendan off for his visits and then for him to see his parents argue and fight.... Anyway, so thats my little outing!! I feel so much happier now.
Take Care girls... I'm off to my cousins first birthday :D
-
I'm really glad things are getting better for you Sally! Big hugs!
I'm prolly gonna stack on a lot of weight in the next couple of months, can't stop thinking about food!
Was a 10C before being pregnant and i'm a 12D now so that's not too bad i guess, DH seems to love it lol. Poor guy can't get near em without me whining at him though.
Not really looking forward to Christmas this year, its just such a stressful time of year, and we always miss out on spending real quality time or buying presents with just me, DH and the kids, everything's gone by the time we're done buying for the rest of the family. Bah humbug... :p
-
Hey sally how'd the birthday celebration go?
I guess everything is ok this way, ive had two days off work in a row, im feeling fair terrible and now exhaustion seems to have kicked its merry way back in. So so so so tired :(
I made a suggestion to mods if we can have a general chatter thread in the young couples/etc forum as opposed to continuing using this random thread. Guess we'll see what happens.
-
Hey Sally, So glad that things are going better with you, and that Nigel has decided to be civil. It will be good for Brendan to have his Daddy around.
With you Jade on the "FOOD" topic. I have never been so excited for Christmas lunch and dinner in my life! LOL Craving Christmas cake with custard ooh and also rum balls!!!!! Ooohhh I can't wait! Feel like such a heffa!! Oh well....next yr I won't have an excuse!
Hey Ash..nice to see your face... Oh and did we just find out your having a BOY!! OMG!! How exciting!!
Did something really cool this morning, fillmed bubba kicking me and you could see it from the outside! It's funny. It will be something cool to show him when he grows up. I hope that you are all doing well. Going on holidays to Syd and Adelaide for 3weeks on Friday, so contact is going to be less frequent I think. What are you all doing for Christmas and NY?
-
I too will be away as of the 27th for about a mth abd as my parents dont have a computer I will be of line until I Get back.
What a cool idea Rusty it will be great to look back and see your tummy move.
Sally glad things seem to be looking up for you hope it all gets to stay this way..
Wow all this talk of your big boobs makes me feel very jelous I only ever had a 10A and after I had my DS I got a 12B/C until I stoped feeding then I went down to a not even a 10 AA I thought it was a very crual joke.. But after DD1 I went and got implants so now I am very happy to have my nice 10 B/C again, I just wish I got to keep some of my feeding boobs so you girls never know dont wish them away too much or you might end up like me and have none..
-
Hey :D
I had soooo much fun, my cuz's birthday was excellent, i will post some photos in my gallery, just after i post this :D The party was duck themed, my Uncle made a ducky cake for Libby :D sooo cool, it gave me some ideas for Brendan's 1 st Birthday.... I don't believe where the time has gone, he's 10 months christmas day!
Thanks for all the support too girls... it's great having you around :D
Take care :D
-

-
No problem Sally :), glad you got the card. Christmas is coming so is the my EDD haha
-
I saw only 7 weeks!! Are you getting excited???? What's it like being 33 weeks?
-
Yeah im getting more excited and scared the closer i get. Being 33 weeks i feel fat  uncomfortable and VERY lazy
-
Welcome Meg!
Sorry more personals later. Absolutely buggered to death after work. I'll vent in Boohoo Room later.
Joanne if you're going to be in Sydney over New Years and Xmas, if you have any free time perhaps we could meet for coffee? I'll be in Melbourne (actually Narbethong) for Xmas but coming back via train (flights too expensive and not taking a baby it'll be easier) on the 29th December so I'm here with my friends for my New Years birthday (I'm 21!!!) and then work starts again on the 2nd of Jan.
-
Oh joanne I am very excited for you :D :D I didn't get a chance to feel fat, i barely had a tummy... which doesn't mean i didn't put on weight :( lol
Catherine, how are you going? I hope you are ok after today... hugs
take care
-
Mummycate- It sounds like you had a rough day,i hope your ok
I'll be in Sydney visiting family for Xmas/NY but havent worked out our schedule as yet all i'm sure of is we'll be in Penrith the 1st week and around the 29th we'll be at Campbelltown so i'm not sure how that suits you, we could probably meet half way. Exciting time for you over NY's, congrats on turning 21.
Sally- thanks,it is a very exciting time especially as it's my 1st and i've organised to hire the capsule from QLD ambulance service and have got mostly everything we need for bub. I'm sure for the next bub you have you'll get to enjoy getting/being fat.
-
LOL, I hope so :D I have one piece of advice for ya... if you are interested... Pack a hospital bag now... you never know what is around the corner. You do not want to be stuck without some personals :D
-
Thanks for the advice :D, i've packed bubs bag but cant get motivated to pack my own bag haha, thats where the lazy bit comes into it. I have to pack my bag for Sydney so i'll just make sure i've got it all together just in case. I'd hate to be stuck in hospital wearing the gowns and not having my own stuff would drive me mental haha.
-
I was lucky/unlucky (whichever way you look at it) i didn't have my bag packed (at 28 wks, why would i need to?? lol)... but my mum is an angel and she bought me a whole heap of new clothes from target, and i just tried the ones i wanted on and she returned the rest! :D
The hospital gowns aren't all that bad.. it's not like the movies, lol, they are like a wrap/sarong and tie off at the side. KEMH in perth had pretty pink or boring faded blue/white stripes. LOL there is no fashion in hospital!! I'd also sugest a comfy pair of slippers too... they were one of my fav things :D
-
Sounds like you've got a fantastic supportive mum :D.
The maternity gowns must be different to the normal hospital gowns, they sound quite appealing wouldnt mind 1 for home haha but your right there's no fashion in hospital. I have 1 pair of slippers, but they have wool on the inside so i dont know how i'll go with them in summer might have to buy a new pair.
I'm off for the night will be back tomorrow :)
-
Ash- Any news on the new forum idea??
-
-
They ones in KEMH were quite comfy... for memory they did up behind your neck then under your arm, something like that so they were quite flowy... lol.
-
This is a quote from the post Ash made yesterday "I made a suggestion to mods if we can have a general chatter thread in the young couples/etc forum as opposed to continuing using this random thread. Guess we'll see what happens."
-
I'm still replying to all the ones before the most recent posts, but, in short -
I posted a thread in Forum Help, Abbreviations and FAQ's called "Younger parents/couples/etc forum" (or similar) requesting if we could have a general chatter thread for the Younger Parents Forum.
Obviously this thread was a random one we started posting in - so i thought if we had one entitled "Younger general chatter" or the like - the other 'youngins' might join us for a chat as well - I know meg joined us today too =)
No news as yet, Sarah_H said she'd confer with other mods for me/us - but i'm sure you could all show your support of the idea ;)
Will post again shortly, have a marathon coming up!! LOL
-
Wow-ee everyone's really talkative today =D
Ok, so onto my eventual, will happen, marathon posting. Only because i'm so blindly ignorant of so many things lately i want to make sure i reply to everything! :P
Nina!!! Hi :) Oh my gosh, food. I hadn't even thought about Christmas Food. DF and I will be going to Mum's who'll be either about to pop or already popped with twins, so i might have to educate Anthony and Wayne (step-dad) on how to cook!! PMSL, sif that'll ever happen. Ok ok, i shouldn't say that, Anthony is quite a good cook when he wants to be, but i don't think he could ever pull off a roast.
I've known we're having a boy since 20 weeks! :) I just didn't write 'boy', i had the text in blue - i thought it would speak for itself, but obviously not so much so as i've had a few people ask recently :D Either way, yes very exciting! Can't wait, it all seems to be getting so gosh darn close. I'm sitting here thinking, ummm, 11 weeks to go, OMGOSH THAT'S ALMOST TEN - OH DEAR GOD NO *flips out*. PMSL.
Christmas plans, now that's a good question, we plan on going to mum's. But we also planned on having a house, and that's looking less and less promising by the day *fit of rage later*. No doubt something quiet at the parents' anyway, my brothers will get all hyped up on too much chocolate and exhaust whatever new techno-playstation-gadget thing they get.
As for new years, no plans as yet, i wouldn't mind trying to make some quick fast cash babysitting, to tell you the truth, but i don't know how i could advertise myself, and the only still current babysitting reference i have would be my mum - and i don't know how many people would see that as valid... Although on that note i have done partial childcare training and she has her degree and teaches childcare so maybe her reference would be even further validated... who knows?
As for the tummy moving stuff, mine i have only noticed recently - i did post a thread about it in third trimester pg discussion if you want to have a look - or add to the excitement, a lot of people have put in stories there too...
Tali! - Don't worry, these days i curse myslef for having cursed my DD's - they were way more comfortable and accommodative (??) than these huge damn things. Whilst i would look just as disproportionate i think would almost prefer A's at this stage. They drive me bloody bonkers. heh...
Good luck with your trip!
Sally - Good to hear the party went great, i'm glad you had a good time!
I know what you mean.. time flies... and this isn't even with a bubby! I was talking to one of my best friends the other day. Due to boy complications and the like, this time last year we pretty much completely detested each other, and by some twist of fate in mid jan, became friends. Now she is one of my best friends, and was the first person i told when i knew i was 'late'. She paid for and bought the HPT for me, and i told her before i even told my dear DF. I clung to her for dear life in the early days because DF and I were so unsure of what was going to happen between us. It's amazing the things that can happen in such short time isn't it?
I really badly want to pick up all out laybys and start packing bags and all that jazz, but we don't have the room for it yet, and unfortunately we have to get a place to live first. *scowl* But it's going to be so exciting. Oh i'm drooling just thinking about nesting, i'm going to be crazy, LOL!
Hehe - I'm so proud of us talkative 'young ones' - i love how you slipped in 'page 13' in your post in my request thread - i should have mentioned that earlier, good one! ;)
Meg!!! - Hi, welcome to our little chatterbox / thread / bunch / etc ... It's good to have another friendly face =) Congratulations on your little girl! How's the pregnancy been so far? Have you done your shopping yet? I hope everything is going fantastically for you, and i wish you the best for the remainder of your pregnancy, i hope it is fabulous for you!
Joanne!! Wow seems like everyone's sort of going away or has big and sort of exciting plans for Christmas, poor me =( hehe. I'm just excited to not be working the days before and after which is something i had grown accustomed to for so many years. Gosh i'm feeling fat and uncomfortable already. I cried today when i couldn't do up my own shoelaces, and bending down to pick up anything off the floor is becoming more and more of a strain - more of an excuse to make DF do things for me though, right?!! Heheh *evil laughter* I get frustrated by it easily because i have always been the type of person to pick things up for someone when they drop them, AND NOW I CAN'T DO IT! not even for myself!!!!!
Cate! :D - I hope you're feeling a little better after you had your vent, and i hope you have a better day tomorrow. I'm sure you'll feel a bit better once you've had a chat with the owner and etc. Some more  for good measure.
Alright, i'll cut my chat off here, for now at least - because i think if i write anymore you'll all be bored to death before you get to the end of it. BUT at least i don't feel out of the loop for the day!!
-
Heya all!
Its quite late, and also i dont really know all of you *that well* yet, so im not gonna do full on personals...for now :P
So far i have bought NOTHING for bubs! I know! How horrible...but its just the way its happened haha...and my gosh i cant WAIT to buy stuff. DP and i both know what we want though, so wont be toooo hard...but with me working full time every week and him working over full time every second week, it kinda gets hard to actually have time to go together to buy stuff...but i finish at the end of this month, and i *think* DP is going to be finishing his job (too much for him to handle) sooo itll all be happening...and soon ;)
My PG has been pretty good so far, actually, its been golden. Everything has gone perfectly, next to no MS...and bubs is growing at a perfect rate...so really, i cant complain. Would be better if i didnt have to work of course haha! But i guess thats always the case :)
Any ways, beddy byes for me!! Ill b back though!!
-
Meg, I'm glad everything is going well for you!! Lucky about the MS too.... I suffered BADLY!
Well girls, I'm off for some personal shopping today, i've lost some weight and i'm almost bak to pre Brendan :D Not many of my clothes fit me now... all too big... LOL. I'd like to lose another 5-10kg... but not in a hurry to do so. I know I'll never fit back into certain things, lol, my hips just will not permit that! My family has an unlucky gene of the hips spreading... damnit. Oh well at least I have a shape now, I was a bit of a stick before, now i'm an hourglass :D :D
Take Care and have fun!! :grouphug:
