BF isn't as easy as they make out huh Trini. lol. i had attachment issues at first too, luckily its all under control now although bf on demand is driving me a lil bonkers. hehe. Good to see shes puting on weight, thats really good.

BF is alot harder than everyone says. they say its painful but dont say how painful and i never got any details of how hard it was so i was very dissapointed when it took about 2 weeks for maddie to get into it, i thought it worked straight away. good luck to you girls coz it can be hard and dont feel bad if you want to put the baby on formula in stead of the breast.
anyway, i think im still almost asleep coz i just yabbered to much. lol

Well we found out why Miss M isnt feeding properly, she's started teething!!! She's chewing on everything (including me), dribbling everywhere, not sleeping properly and has a little white lump on her bottom gum in the middle. Miss M must be getting enough to eat though, because we had our health centre appointment yesterday & she's put on 710grams in the last month. She's now 7.1 kgs or 15 pound 10

Kirra - well done on the savings, we were looking at buying a house but the repayments we about $30 a week out of our reach so we are going to pay off the car & credit cards ASAP then start saving

Sal- OMG, maddie is so big compared to when i last seen her. Ouchy on the teething a biting, i hate to say it but when charli starts teething she's also starting formula.
I'm completely buggered now, im gonna eat my ice-cream, brush my teeth and go to bed, hopefully charli will wake for another feed before then so i can get some decent sleep. No chance of a sleep in tomoz for me, DP is going for his fork license test at 7am, fingers crossed alyssa sleeps in. lol

i have really been panicking lately coz we have been in such debt but i have remembered today about the money from centrelink and a few people have told me that we get $2400 so i am sooooo stoked. that clears most of our debt and bills and christmas.
maddie is becoming such a little person lately, she is waving all the time, blowing kisses, spinning around in circles, kisses you on the lips when you say kiss and talking and babbling heaps. i cant beleive how fast she is growing, there is something new every day.

I went shopping today with just charli and it went pretty well, considering she threw up what felt like about 50ml+ of her milk all over me. lol. needless to say i walked around with a very wet shoulder for the last half hr.
amy, i heard it was only up to $1000 per child. correct me if im wrong. i won't get to spend much of it anyway, dp wants to save it all, although we have to get a cot so it will most likely be coming outa that.
yeah its $1000 per child that was born before midnight of the 14th october 2008. So me.. we dont get it. Missed out by 8 days! :(

I had a weekend off BB, I have to do that every now and then, and wouldnt you know it I only have 2 small cleaning jobs to go apart from the constant ones of the washing, and DH will do the dishes tomorrow night again (whether he likes it or not ;)) so tomorrow I am cleaning the lounge and the bathroom, and anything that is not done by lunch time on Wednesday will get thrown into a closed room :lol: I am having friends over for a tupperware party.
Sally has been around but I havent seen many posts from her, Maybe she is taking a little break. Ash has been away but should hopefully be back in here soon. It is just the time of year when life stuff takes over.
LJ - Lots of moving!! I hate moving. We are ALMOST finished unpacking!! This will be the longest we will be in a house since we got married!! 2 years in our first place, 18 months in the second, and this one should be 3 years unless DH gets an unexpected posting, considering they have said we will be here for 3 years.
Kirra - Put a spare Tshirt for yourself in the nappy bag ;) I had to do that with a refluxer.
I am about to unwind with a chick flick while DH sleeps :rolleyes: and then head for bed!!

I have been popping in and out. Just haven't had much to say. Not much happening here at all. I'm almost 8 weeks, feeling off colour. Having trouble getting a u/s for 12 weeks. Have to try and get hold of my Dr's receptionist today becuase the hospital has been trying to get through since wed.

Hey Hollye, the Hospital is fully booked and it needs to be done between 12-13 weeks. I'm actually not too worried about it, but it would be nice to see bubs.

Oh firstly had my username changed... previously Brendansmum now ~Sally~ :D
Secondly... Had to take Brendan to hospital this morning.
It happened so quick, I dont have pics, nor did I even lock my house or my car at the hospital.
I dressed him at approx 8:45 he had nothing less than 5 mins later he was grizzly and came up to me with small red lumps on his arms, within a few mins his hands and feet were swollen. I literally watched him go red from the time to leave home and get to the hospital, less than 5 mins, his face was red, his arms and legs were red and welted. He looked like a lobster :( As soon as we got to the emergancy dept, we didnt have to wait they took him straight him , weighed him, listened to his heart and checked him over.
Gave a dose of steroids and an antihistamine at approx 9:30am. We waited approx 30-45 mins and his rash was already looking better so they let us go home. At first sign of it re-appearing we are to go back.
I think it was an alergic reaction, but to what I dont know. We did nothing different this morning. he drank his milk, he had nutrigrain. He sat on the couch watching tv.
:hug: Sally! I hope eveything is Ok!! If it does happen again will they send him for skin pr!ck testing?

They wont test him unless its re-occuring.
So far we've had 2 "attacks" both first thing in the morning. I've washed all his bedding ect so hopefully no more now.
*ETA* Have added some pics to my gallery. These pics are not his worst, When it was at its worse I was in that much of a panic to get him to hospy.
Sally, i hope brendan is ok, i cant imagine how it must have felt to see him like that, it must be something hes touched.... Big hugs and hopefully no more 'attacks'

i know im not around much but im really excited and i wanted to share, and not everyone around me can understand my excitment
im am currently 17 weeks and 2 days pregnant
i had a doctors appointment yesterday and got to hear my babies heart beat for the first time, and occassonally in the last week or so i have started to feel flutters and while my doctor had the doppler on me yesterday the baby kept kicking it aparently it didnt like getting pushed on and i go for my first scan on christmas eve, which my mum and future mum in law are both coming to. - hows that for a christmas present

Kass, Brendan is fine now, rash went away by Sunday with help of antihistamines and has had noo reaction since, yet we are still doing the same things as last week? Very odd!
I'm still spotting which is annoying, but it's old, so I'm not worried. Almost 9 weeks! YAY!

Hi all, just a quick update for me
Charli is now 4975g and growing very well says the MCHN, she is starting to have a long sleep at night 4-6 hours between feeds followed by the usual 3hrs which is great cause it means im getting a bigger block of sleep at one time.
Hope everyone else is well, thanks for the chrissy cards, i have lots now and feel so popular. haha

I have heard the parasite's HB!! I had my MW appt on Wednesday and she is lovely!! She knows the MW's that I had with the girls too!! She was part of the group that the hospy I had the girls at modeled their AN care on!!
We are off on Holidays from Wednesday next week. Looking forward to it!! We will be away for 10 days.

LOL Hollye, must be a baby thing cause Charli is only just getting back to herself. Doesnt help that its getting hot, luckily we've got air con but it only really cools down the lounge and kitchen.
lol its def a baby thing as Alexys was the same & by the end of the day she didnt want to go to anyone but mummy or daddy!
Some people have the life with air con :p we dont have air con just ceiling fans in the lounge & main bedroom!
How was everyones christmas? ours was great but tiring..i cant wait until nxt year when Alexys will understand it more :D
