Sally - I noticed the BLUE writing for 'surprise' ;) :p
Ames - Kell is trying to buy 2 new servers outright. The RAKs that happened in Fab are contributing, but the other funds have slowed down due to the Centre being less busy. She is just as frustrated by the issues as everyone else ;)
I am about to update my thread in the messages section (it will be long) so if you want to see what is happening here please go over there.
-
thanks for that Alioops, i didnt mean to sound rude when i said to get it sorted, i had no idea what was happening but thanks for filling me in :)
and about sallys Surprise, i wonder if you are right! well done at picking that up. so what is it Sally? lol
-
LOL, I wouldn't call that colour blue, it's Teal! But definately a surprise. I have no idea what I'm having, although have strong feelings towards a boy.
-
Sally i would love to keep it a surprise but i doubt that i will lol even though i have 11 weeks til finding out i just like knowing to organise everything and pick names and stuff..but good for you for not giving in i wish i could do that

Happy Easter Everyone!!!!
-
Thanks for the text this morning Sal!!
Happy Easter Everyone :D
-
Hey everyone. I've been feeling awful lately. My m/s is not as bad as some of my friends has been, but I still feel like c**p.
Easter was a normal weekend here, its never been a big thing for my family, except for when we all gather at my grandparents house. But I live interstate, and haven't had the big family Easter in several years.
I'm hoping my parents can come visit us for Christmas this year, as bubs will only be a few weeks old. And we'd go visit for Easter next year.
I'm still a jobseeker, and in a small town, there isn't much to go around. So many people around here live on welfare, and I need to earn more than that, so the hunt continues.
How is everyone else going?
-
Hope everyone had a great Easter - we did, until we heard about the massive fires here that were close to the house we're building :wall:
Echidna - Christmas time at our house is going to be horrible! I'll have a 2 month old, as well as having to cater for me, my DH, our bub, my dad and grandmother, and my MIL, FIL, BIL and DHs grandad, uncle, aunty (who are coming from a fair way away) and their three girls! Good luck with the job hunting.
AFM - Not too bad, still very tired, and just ready to sleep at any chance that I get comfy - hopefully that will relieve itself sooner or later :crossfingers: Other than that, got a dr appt on Friday around 3:30pm to find out the results of the NT scan and BTs so wish me luck for that! Also, sometime in the last week of May, we'll be finding out the sex of the bub, and seeing if it's a :girl: or :babyboy: Will let you know the date
-
Hey all, hope everyone had an awesome easter, We didnt get up to much, i did eat lots of choc but alyssa was sick on easter morning so she wasnt alowed to have any choc but she did do her hunt between throwing up. lol. Was better by arvo though and went to the footy with DP. Yesterday i went shopping and got some bargains though which was nice, esp since i didnt have to take the girls :)
Hope stanky is feeling better MT and GL to all of u with ms and echidna on ur job hunting.
-
well im very happy my tummy was ok enuf to eat a bowl of cornflakes for breakfast ...so very happy although if i over eat i still feel like i might puke.....going to dr on thursday to get a referral to a hospital..im gonna try get into kaleeya so hopefully i wont get stuck going to King eddies
sally are u going to kemh or did they give u a choice...just wondering coz of the whole premmie factor ive had a 35 weeker and 30 weeker so hoping they wont
-
Ooh, I didn't realise this thread was even here!
I assume I qualify as a 'younger member'?? Lol :D
Hi all :)
-
-
Hello Donna, welcome :D
Moni, I wasnt allowed to booked into my local hospital, and have the option of transfering from KEMH to Swan Districts should I make it to 36 weeks. Maybe the same can be done for you? See KEMH for antenatal and should you go make it to when the other hospital can accept you then transfer over.
-
oh suck kaleeya is like 10 min away and kemh is like 30 grrrrr..do we atleast get special treatment and extra appointments lol coz if their not i dont really see the point, with my 35 weeker i just went into kemh on the day
-
Hey
hey all
how are you
i'm misty i'm 18 and my daughter is 3 months on friday
-
Moni, it really depends. If kaleeya will take you theres no reason why you couldnt see them. I had more appts with Brendan than what I've had so far. I was on fortnightly appts from 16 weeks, this time I've only had 3 since 15 weeks (I'm 25 now) Brendan's pregnancy was quite troubled though.
Hi Misty, welcome!
-
Welcome Donna, i love ur avatar :)
Welcome Misty, your in melb too. How you finding be a new mum?? sleep deprived yet? lol
We are all setlled in thanks tracy, girls are loving it, alyssa was a bit scared at first as her room is so far away from ours but shes ok now i've changed the curtains. apparently the other curtains were scary ??? Don't know how curtains are scary but thats kids for ya, just plain weird. lol.
Today im not feeling so good, i have a massive headache and a sore throat thanks to a viral thing apparently. Charli has the same thing and has been since 5.30 this morning. luckily she had a 2 hour nap with me so i dont feel so tired.
She's behind me now trying to crawl, so cute, it looks like she's trying to stand up though sometimes. lol.
only 15 weeks to go Sal, must be exciting.
Lunch is ready. Chou ladies.
-
I've been having help from an employment agency, and so I hope that will help me to get a job. There isn't really much around at all, but I'm hoping the things I am being taught by the employment agency will help me find something by cold calling/door knocking.
So far things are fine, I've been really tired lately and have been getting sick at night. I've thrown up a few times. I hope it goes away soon, I'm trying to function at work (when I get a job).
-
hey everyone, how have you all been?
hope you all had a great easter.
i had my ultra sound the other day and im 10 weeks and 3 days today. it looks very healthy. im due on the 20th of november.
well speak soon. xxx
-
Thats awesome Amy, hope your feeling ok. Are you gonna find out the sex??
Echidna- MS sucks, hope it gets better for you, and hopefully a job will pop up soon. :D
My virus has almost gone, just a croaky throat now but Lys was sick AGAIN this morning, i've made an appointment for her to see our family doc but couldnt get in until 14th may, she will prob have to have an u/s to check out her tummy and see why shes getting sick all the time, its starting to really worry me, she threw up 8 times in 3.5hrs this morning then fell asleep, woke up and was fine, this happens every couple of weeks, no1 i know thinks its normal and im worried about the long term effects it will have on her tummy from throwing up so much. Hopefully this doc app will give us some much needed answers.
Tomorrow im ringing up to book in my Kids Aid certificate, basically a first aid cert but directed more at kids, Charli feeds herself so i wanna be prepared if she does choke one day.
My baby girl can now say 4 WORDS im so proud of her, mummy was her first of course  followed by bub, dad and now hi, although DP only got to hear her say dad for the first time yesterday she was being very cheeky and wouldnt say it infront of him, we went shopping and he gave her to me and walked away and she said it but he didnt hear, it was like she was calling him........so cute.
Well i hope everyones well, i better head off to bed and get some shut-eye, charli went down at 6.20pm tonight so no doubt she'll be up super early tomorrow
-
Thanks Kirra :D
Sucks to hear you've been sick, too... DH and I were sick over Easter (good ol' DD giving us her germs again lol) and I've had a raging sinus infection ever since... it got so bad on the left side I went to my GP begging for antibiotics, even though I don't like taking anything stronger than a glass of Coke while I'm expecting, she fluffed about with some excuse about government guidelines and Medicare's cost-cutting, long story short they're being advised not to prescribe antibiotics as they 'don't really do anything', so she told me to just take some Panadeine... RAWR!! It got worse, so bad that I even forked out to get a dentist to look at my teeth and make sure I didn't have a huge cavity or something, he said it all looks fine to him and it must just be the pressure from my blocked sinus cavity :( So I've been in tears on and off for weeks!!
But... fingers crossed... it looks like the infection might finally be breaking. I won't gross you out with details, but my snot is looking healthier hahaha :D
DD has been running around bare-bummed all day today - only peed on the floor twice!! Hahaha so proud. If I can just get her to the potty in time ONCE, she'll have it sorted I think... but I've always got my back turned (looking at BB too much lol) so I miss it every time :D
-
kirra- no were nto finding out this time. dp really wants a suprise, like he did with maddie but i found out anyway, so this time i will respect his wishes and wont find out.
thats very strange about Alyssa, i hope it all get solved asap.
Gothmum- i know that you mean about weeing every time you have your back turned, maddie is exactly the same, can be so frustrating, i spose its getting hard for you to bend down and clean it up to. they keep you on your toes dont they... lol
-
Amy how exciting :D
Kirra, yay for Charli!!
Donna, Ouchie about the infection, hope its cleared up soon.
Well I've had some week.
Went into premature labour last tuesday, 26 weeks. They stopped it and I went home Friday. I have steroids on board now for bubs lungs. Am on bed rest, which is funny as I have a 2yo to run around after :P
-
From 1 bed to another - Hey Sal  Nah it's not funny, it is incredibly boring. Have you looked into daycare or is there a grand parent that can look after Brendan while you are resting? My 2 are in care while DH is at work and he is doing everything (washing, shopping, cooking, nappies, you name it) when he gets home. He is exhausted though.
Plenty of sticky vibes for you hun, you are baking a full termer. No more hospy trips.
Will BBS maybe, I can hear Em crying and DH has completely crashed so I am going to try to settle her by standing there with my frame talking to her.
-
Oh Donna, u poor thing, screw the government if u need medication they should give it to you. I wasn't that bad i was just more worried if it was bacterial that i would pass it on to charli. LOL on the Bare bum, kids just love to be naked eh?
Amy- Atleast u'll have the suprise to look forward to, if i ever had another i think i would want it to be a suprise.
Sal & Alli- Hope your resting lots and taking care of yourselves, being preg and having a kid to run after just isnt as fun as when ur preg with your 1st and can be lazy all day.
-
your telling me i have 3 lil ratbags to chase lol im deffinatly hoping this tiredness wears of in a couple weeks lol
-
Your much braver than i, im too scared to even go back for a 3rd :wall: i dont know what i would do, prob go bonkers. lol
-
my goodness sally, i hope the steroids do their job and bub is a full termer. what a shock, i dont think any of us saw that coming as this pregnancy has been smooth sailing hasnt it?
well thinking of you anyway.
i cant beleive how many of us are pregnant. we should write a list of when everyone is due just to see.
my morning sickness has been driving me bonkers today, i emptied hte bin and scrubbed it and it still stinks and im gagging on it haha.
well best get back to cooking dinner.
hope all stays well for every one.
xx
-
Lol Kirra I don't know what I was thinking going back for #2!!
I'm spewing atm because DH's boss has been on the rag since Easter, and what with everybody tiptoeing around for fear of losing their jobs at a time like this, I'm worried that I'll have to come home from hospital like 24 hours after having bub and be left alone to cope with DD and a newborn by myself because DH is too afraid to ask for time off!! He used all his sick leave/holidays last year when his mum died (not that he had much to start with, they force their employees to take whatever leave they have at Christmas), and it takes ages to work it back up again, kwim??
:(
Sally, my fingers are crossed for you, hope you're getting plenty of rest and that bub decides to stay put for a while longer!! Good luck!
-
hey guys how is everyone?
sally how is everything with bub?
gothmum, are you still here? was your dd early, on time or late?
i had a bit of bleeding last night so made an appointment at the docs for tomorrow, sorry if it is tmi but it was just after sex so not sure if that caused it but im not in any pain and the bleeding has stopped so i think all is ok. i have an ultra sound on monday anyway so will find out then, just a little concerned because i had a miscarriage last june and i didnt bleed with maddie so im not used to it.
hope all is well with everyone.
speak soon :)
-
with my first i got some dark red blood after sex so you are probably right and thats what it is...very exciting having your scan on monday..im going to try get a normal one but if i cant do the NT one,you should join the bb groups were all very nice and its good to talk about pg stuff with ppl at the same point as you
-
I had a lil bleed with Charli at 5.5 wks, i freaked out, it was after i went shopping i got a cramp and then decided to go home and once i got outa the car i felt it come out (TMI) and i was balling my eyes out, my mum rushed me straight to the doc who was an absolute a$$hole. But all ended up ok thank god.
Goth Mum- i sooo know what u mean, DP is forced to take atleast from 24/12 til 2/1 off every year and if he doesnt have annual there then they go without pay, sucks a bit cause sometimes it would be better for him to work then and have his annual at a less busy time.
How are all the rest of u pregnant ladies doing? Hope u r all taking it easy.
-
thanks heavenly, ill look into the group now. see you there
-
oh and thank you for your stories girls, its made me feel a little better about it all. im having a bit of cramping tonight, every time i sneeze or blow my nose which is alot because i have a cold lol but hoping its all fine. im sure hte doctor will say not to worry
-
Yeah, even better is that DH just got his annual performance review... 'Performance is satisfactory when he attends'?!?!?! I am FUMING. What, like he shows up three days a week if he feels like it? Are you kidding me?! The poor sap works 10-hour days five days a week (unless he is literally too ill to get out of bed, most sick days he takes he doesn't even get a doc's cert because he truly cannot get out of bed and go to the doctor to get a certificate) and takes whatever OT he can get!! I've just about had it with this 'new' (not that new, but has only been there a couple of months) manager kicking DH when he's down, but for some reason he loves the brown-nosing, lazy bastard who 'is keen to help others' (yeah, because it means he gets out of whatever menial task he's *meant* to be doing so he can go and suck up to more senior employees and make himself look good) :(
Had another antenatal check today - stupid midwife has ever-so-kindly adjusted my due date for me, despite the fact that two separate u/s techs have provided the same date AND I know the day I stopped taking the Pill and therefore believe I have a more accurate idea of when I'm due... I mean, it's only been adjusted by three days, but it's only because some idiot must have misheard me say 'May 24' and wrote 'May 21' at some point in my book - every other record states 'May 24', but apparently having it repeated fifteen times isn't good enough for this midwife, it MUST be the 21st because she saw it written ONCE...
Ugh. Effing public system. Sooo glad I'm not having any more kids, I refuse to put myself through this crap ever again!!
I think I've been having Braxton Hicks tonight... ate a big dinner and then was sitting on the verandah with DH having a ciggie and just about fell over lol... he kept making me laugh and that made it worse hehehe :D
I feel so sick!! Is that normal with BH/labour?? I was induced with DD so I have no idea what first-stage labour, or BH feels like :/
Lol sorry for the rant, chickies... just needed to get that off my chest hahah :D How's everyone else doing?
-
Mum2Maddie, its a normal thing to happen. I get it too, its the tightening and stretching of the lower stomach muscles and ligaments. Its the same muscles that can pull out of alignment if you lift something way too heavy, and get a hernia. When you have to sneeze or blow your nose, bend your waist, curling your tummy up. It doesn't hurt that way.
GothMum, that totally sucks! My DF just quit his job because his boss personally doesn't like him, so reduced his hours to less than 8 a week. Which is so unfair! Now we're both looking for work, with a baby on the way. Sigh, oh well, things will come good soon.
-
Yeah Mum2Maddie, I get the same thing (cramping/that awful pain when sneezing, twisting the wrong way etc)... hopefully it's nothing to worry about :D
Aww echidna, that sucks... I had the same problem when I was working at Sanity a few years ago, one particular girl there had it in for me and kept telling the area manager (who only came to town maybe once every three months to check on us) things that weren't true (hahaha apparently I was offering to burn CDs and give them to customers who were too cheap to order them in, wtf?! among other things) and she just cut my hours down to zero until one day she called me and said, 'Oh well you haven't worked for so long we're deleting you off the payroll' - ie, 'You're fired' lol... I was spewing over that for soooo long...
Got my fingers crossed for you guys, don't worry something good will come along when you least expect it - darkest before the dawn, etc. It's always happened like that for DH and I :) Chin up!!
-
Donna - ABC childcare did that to my bestie. It is actually illegal but she didnt bother fighting because she hated her boss. That's why I flatly refuse to ever use them.
Echidna - Plenty of good job vibes for you
