Congratulations Amy, Billy and Maddie on the arrival of Layla! So happy you got your VBAC :D:
Layla jasmine was born at 7.46 this morning the 23rd of november naturally with hardly any drugs. She weighed 8 lbs and 10 onz. Lots of black hair, very different to maddie. We are all happy and well!
Congrats Meg! how exciting for you and a lovley age gap might i add :)
Indi: Good luck with TTC sending loads of :pink-babydust::bluedust: and im counting down till i can put up our tree!

If anyone doesnt know me i'm Joanne, 25 now living in Cowra, NSW (although that could change) with DF Chris, 28 and DD Sophie 22months. We recently lost a baby at 8weeks but didnt find out until we were suppose to be 12weeks so it was a missed m/c and i had to have a D&C. We're having a break from TTC and we will start again in a few months. DF is working in Canberra during the week and home on weekends.

Hi Joanne I'm sorry for your loss. I have just experienced a missed miscarriage or 'blighted ovum' we found out at 9 weeks and I waited to naturally pass which happened at 12 weeks and if I knew then what I know now I would have opted for a D&C as it was excruciating pain and a very horrible experience which made me wind up in hospital. If you ever want to chat about it I'm here to listen. I was born in Canberra and my dad is still there in Belconnen. Also my old boss is from Cowra :) small town isn't it?Do you find it hard with DF working away?I'm such a mega sook when my partner works away!

Thanks Indi - we didn't end up going, in all honesty it was such a terrible day I forgot all about it! Oh well, next week it is! Good thing its not an appointment based thing just a turn up and we'll do it (public hospital system) :eyeroll:

We had Brendan's hearing test yesterday and the test itself went well, they counted out all factors which could alter the test and Brendan's results werent much better. He can hear out of one ear, which is getting better, slowly. He cant hear much out the other ear and its still blocked in the middle ear. So we are of to an ENT, as soon as I can get a referral done.
Otherwise he is doing well. His speech is starting to finally pick up, he's putting some words together (only 2 at a time) and hes started constant jibber jabbering now too, so cute.

nella: some days are hard and other days are ok, DD & I just take it 1 day at a time and look forward to Friday afternoons when DF comes home for the weekend.
Indi1: i honestly just wanted it over and done with i had suffered enough and we jus wanted to grieve for the baby we lost move forward from it stronger but never forgetting.
Daydream Believer: I feel a bit old to be in here also i turned 25 in July, i only just realised who you are didnt know you had changed your username. Congrats again on your pg wishing you a H&H pg.
Nella- Very lucky it's not an appointment thing, they are horrible. My little man fractured his tibia on a trampoline a few months back and I had such a crappy time with appointments- the waiting times were just as bad as if it were a sit and wait process!
Sally Sounds like it would be a stressful times with Brendan's hearing not being 100%. It's good that he is doing well though and he's happy and healthy. He will be talking your ears off before you know it!

I was 17 when i had my daughter and it was the best thing that happened to me. Im now 20, married, and my daughter is 3 and things are going great. My husband, daughter and I moved interstate to the Gold Coast and have been living on the Gold Coast for a little while now, but i never have the time to go out and meet people. our neighbour came round and gave us a massive leg of ham cos they got given it and dont eat it which is great cos we were gonna buy one but there very expensive,....got one family do tomorrow night then one xmas day for lunch only lil ones but will be nice
kids are doing great serenity has really filled out is now in 0000 body suits but still fits 00000 without legs lol malachi is very proud hes now a preprimary...hunter has started to say more words now and niesha is just my lil angel lol

Hey all its been quiet....too quiet lol....
Serenity has had a couple nights of sleeping through so hoping that continues....shes almost 8 weeks corrected or just over 14 weeks old.......still trying to figure out where the times gone :'(
It goes so quick :( Yay for sleeping through though :D
i was such an idiot...serenity fed at 6pm so i woke her at 9:30 to feed her so she wouldnt wake at 3 am and now she wont go to sleep lol atleast i was staying up awhile :wall:

my baby is 4 months old today :'( she just moved up a size out of newborn nappies and is in 0000 clothes now....and weve reduced FF to 2 odd a week when i need a break at night....sleeping on average 6-7 hours a night
mally started his first day of preprimary yesterday
hunter has started saying lots of words and is a fantastic climber and jumper esp off the couch
and niesha has learnt most of her colours and is a lil chatterbox

Brendan is now 3, scary stuff! He's 12kg and 95cms tall.
Tristan is 8 months and 6.5kg and I forget how tall. He's been crawling for about 2 weeks now. He's been referred to physio because his legs are getting worse (feet curving inwards as a result)

WOW! Now that's a fast labour!! Did he have any issues from being born a bit early?:
AFM, I have two sick kids, Brendan is on the mend and doing well Tristan has got a little worse. He is coughing has a temp and a runny nose poor wee bugger :(
Tristan had his physio appt and it went well, they are extremely happy with his progress, he's on the 90th %ile for Gross Motor skills for his corrected age! His legs should get better the more he stands, but we have another appointment in 3 weeks to check how he's going.
Brendan is just plodding along lol.

How is everyone?
I'm quite busy lately, lots of therapy appointments ect. Tristan is now 11 months, gets weighed Tuesday, he was 7.2kg at 10 months. Brendan is 39 months and 12kg, he's been diagnosed with PDD-NOS, but we are awaiting official testing to get funding to help Brendan. It's quite a big process but so worth it.
I'm doing physio myself too. Thanks to my crappy body not handling pregnancy well lol.

oh dear, i just had a nice long post but i went and deleted it all somehow!! :(
well, i guess i better start again huh? lol
i'm 19, and my DH is 22, and we're 9weeks pregnant with our first bub, who was a ''sortof'' surprise lol.
i was just thinking the other day how awesome it would be if BB had a group for young parents, and yet, all i had to do was really just look a little harder i guess :P all the other mums-to-be in my BB group are older than me, (mid 20's to late 30's) and dont really seem to talk to me much whenever i post on my thread, so im feeling a little left out in that sense.. :(
a little about me...
my DH and i have been together for nearly 5 years, (yeh yeh i know, just a tad young :P ) and weve been married for a little over one (i was 18, and he was 21 at marriage) but we've been through ALOT in the past 3-4 years with my health issues, so we figured if we were able to make it through those together, surely we can get through marriage!
i've been treated pretty well, but then again, only my family knows so far really, only a couple of REALLY close friends, one of which is on BB, so i had no chance of even trying to keep it from her :P but they've all taken it pretty well, as my sister had her baby around the same time as i am, but i will be a few months older than her at birth. and this will be their 5th grandchild, (i am the youngest by 8 years to my nearest sibling, and 12.5 years to my oldest) so its not really a MASSIVE shock sorta thing lol. but my DH is the youngest of 2, and this will be the first grandchild, so she was a tad more surprised :P
but yeah.. all in all, we havent received any criticism, but im sure once i get bigger, and random people i dont even know will be aware of it, that i will get more dirty looks and such. but im hoping that no extended family or friends will say anything nasty.. seeing as ive known most of them a long time, and they know us pretty well to know if we werent ready we wouldnt let it happen (we HAVE been together for nearly 5 years, so THAT must say something! lol!)
just wondering how young you all were when you had ur first bubs? and what kind of looks and comments u all received with it? just out of curiosity, as i've always wondered how different people in different circumstances have been treated when falling pregnant early..
but anyways.. itll be nice to hear from some of you! :)

im 23, expecting no 4 (and definately last!) df and i were16 when we got together, i just turned 18 when we had ds1, we now have 2 boys almost 5, 3 and a little girl 7months, and are expecting big surprise no 4 one month after dd's first birthday! (big year next year)
im always getting questiond about my kids, typical stranger convo is: "surley there not all yours" "but youd be no older then 16" "oh wow, you look so much younger" "different fathers then" "oh thats nice, you dont here many young men who stick arround"
i just smile and walk away without meaning to be rude when i see the questions start!
