Anyone else done a HRT assisted FET cycle?

Would love to hear from anyone who has?
How did you find it? Was it a success? Did AF arrive before BT day, or is it most likely not going to arrive due to the extra hormones? Do you continue on with the Progynova if it's a BFP? What dose of Crinone / progesterone pessaries did you use?

Anything else you'd like to share I'd be super grateful.

I am currently 5dpt of a blastie. Not feeling anything much at all, but that's pretty standard for me (only start to feel pre-AF'ish the day before it arrives usually).

    Thanks a bunch

    Hi there Arielle,

I had a HRT FET which resulted in my now 15 month old daughter - she was transferred as a 3 day/6 cell embryo. I remained on Progynova (quite a high dose as it took a while to work on me) until I was 10 weeks pregnant and also the same amount of time for the pessaries. I did not use crinone. From memory I was on 200mg pessaries and I think that was just once a day - but not 100% sure.

I didn't feel a lot leading up to my BT and I also did not bleed at all. I did get told that even if I wasn't pregnant that I would not bleed prior to the BT because of all the meds i was on.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a positive result for you.

    Good luck for your BT!
This pregnancy was an HRT FET. Took progynova & progesterone pessaries till about 10-12 weeks.
I felt nothing and was convinced it had not worked.

    Hi Arielle

I did a HRT FET cycle, basically cause nothing was working and I think they agreed to shut me up Didnt work for me and from memory it held AF for an extra day but it still arrived before pregnancy test. I was told if it was a BFP then I would continue with pessaries, I dont remember the exact dose but it was one pessarie if that helps Good luck hun, sending you heaps of

Thanks so much for your replies Lily Dust, Marcellus, and Janie71. Great to know a bit more about what to expect, and SUPER great to read that a couple of you have had success. YAY!! Congrats!
I didn't realise you were pg again Marcellus. I'm so happy for you hun. How far along?

It's a little scarey to write this, but it's looking like we may've had some luck. A HPT yesterday and this morning have shown us the faintest of faint second lines. We're pretty pleased with ourselves, but it's way too early to get too excited just yet. It really is VERY VERY faint!

Ari, I just posted in your blog!

While mine was an ED not FET, it was HRT supported and I took pessaries and crinone until 13 weeks as my P4 levels were all over the shop (my clinic did close P4 monitoring for all patients, something Monash as not known for). Crinone isn't great to measure as it doesn't show up on bloods. I knew that P4 was fine though due to terrible reflux. I took prognova until about 10 weeks because my FS forgot to tell me to go off them at 6 weeks which she said is normally all you need as your own levels take over.

It was an expensive time as pessaries and crinone are so xxxy and I was on 6 pessaries and 4 crinone a day and its all private prescriptions! That is the extreme case though.

Sending you all the best, I'm feeling very excited for you.
    xx

    ooooo, very promising Arielle!
Oh my the cost! The pessaries alone cost us around $1200 (and they forgot to charge for the first lot )
    I'm 16 weeks now

Thanks again for your replies everyone. I haven't had a chance to get back to you. Yay for you Marcellus at 16wks. So happy for you hun. I hope all continues beautifully for you.
I do remember you being on high doses of Crinone DW, but had forgotten about the HRT. Really nice to see a few others that have had success with HRT assisted cycles.
Possums - thanks hun! I truly hope it'll be you next. xxx

By the way - I am quietly freaking out at the moment. I have felt odd all day, and have had a tiny bit of pinky / orange spotting early this evening. I flipped, went to lay down and popped in my crinone dose early (as if it's going to do much). Since then the pinky discharge has gone, but I am getting a small amount of coffee grain like discharge. I know I shouldn't automatically jump to the worst conclusion, but I am really scared right now. God only knows how I am going to sleep tonight.

I have been reading plenty of stories of people having stuff like this happen and then going on to have perfectly ok pg's and bubs, but I do know it can go the other way.

    Need to relax!!!

When's your BT? Must be soon, right?
I had some spotting just before the BT, adn some full-on bleeding at 5 & 6 weeks.

Thanks for letting me know that Marcellus. It does help ease my mind a bit. I know this is incredibly common, but I can't help think the worst.
No spotting today apart from a tiny bit of coffee grain like discharge. Feeling crampy, no pain, but have loosish bowel motions, so I think the cramps are more in the bowels / lower tummy area.
Anyways, shall try to relax. BT is tomorrow. I am really worried about what the levels will be. Not much I can do to change it. huh! Atleast this mornings HPT was a darker line than Fridays.
BTW - did you have any spotting with your DS's pregnancy? I had none with DD's (and another pg b4 that), so I am not used to this.

    Cheers!

Thanks again Marcellus. I need to relax a bit, I know. There's every chance it's nothing, but I just can't stop thinking about it.
Anyway, like I said, there's not much I can do about it. Shall just take it easy.
Hope you've had a nice weekend
