    Embryo grading question

    Hi Everyone,

My clinic graded my only viable embryo as an AA (after 10 collected) and this one is on board for a TWW ride. I am wondering if anyone out there knows about this grading process, and what AA actually means? Is there a link or somewhere where this sort of information is available.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

    Hi Diamond,

I am not familiar with the grading system but I was told that if a blast has gone into hatching phase it is a top notch blast. Equally good but not as good is a blast which its cells clearly show a polarity/specialisation (just before the hatching phase). Lastly a very good blast would be one that are in the multi-cell stage where they are all jumbled up. My current bub is in this last group of blast.

I think you have a very very good embie in there. GL.

Post Qu about grading of embryos

    Hi all,
I was told today my embryos were going really well, and they were 2-4 cells, A grade. I have searched all over the internet however most gradings tend to be in numbers not letters and vary in what they mean. Does anyone else know about this grading system? I'm with IVF Australia.
