    # of cells when transferred

    Hello everyone,

I am a newbie to this forum. It seems that whenever I googled something this forum was always coming up, so here I am.

I am on my 3rd IVF cycle. The first cycle we were lucky enough to be successful and have a beautiful 18 month old DS. I had an unsuccessful cycle in March/April this year and am now in the TWW for this, my 3rd cycle.

I had EPU last Friday and a 3 cell embie transferred on Monday. My FS said that while the embie was slower in dividing it was an 'A' grade embie with no fragmentation.

My question is has anyone had a similar situation and had success?

    Thank you for any replies.

    Hi LB,

I had a 2 cell, 2 day embie transferred during my 3rd cycle with resulted in a BFP

Good luck and hope this is the one!

    Take care,

Thank you both for replying. I feel a bit more hopeful after hearing your stories, thank you

DS was a FET and he was frozen on day 2 at 4 cells. When he was transferred he was 7 cells. This cycle and the last I haven't responded well to the FSH so haven't produced many eggs. Cycle #2 we got 4 eggs but only 3 fertilised, 1 was transferred on day 2 with 4 cells and the other 2 were too slow in dividing. BFN and none to freeze. This cycle only produced 2 eggs, both fertilised but 1 was fertilised by 2 sperm so cannot be used. Which is why I felt so disheartened when they told me the embie was only 3 cells.

It's going to be a looooooong 2 weeks.

    Hey Emma,

I too didnt respond well to the FSH and didnt produce many eggs. Of the 10 eggs collected from 3 cycles, I only got 2 embryo's but it only takes one

I hope your TWW flies by for you. Try to relax ( I know its easier SAID than DONE!)

    and LOTS of

    Take care,

    Tania
