From my experience it's probably unlikely you'll be able to start when you see your FS.
Normally in IVF (and I'm only experienced in IVF) the FS will determine a treatment plan for your IVF cycle at your appointment. This will include what protocol and medications. From there it is usually sent to the IVF clinic where your treatment will be managed. You will then need to sign paperwork such as medicare forms, treatment consents, how many embryo's to transfer, what to do with any frozen in the event of either parents death etc. Then treatment can begin.
Sorry this is not what you want to hear when you are ready and eager to start, but good luck with it all.
It went very well. Because this is my first cycle, I am starting the BCP today (Sunday) for 3 weeks, then synarel and then FSH. Egg pick up (providing we get that far and don't OHSS) is set for the middle of July.
I'm going to do everything that I can to ensure I have good quality eggs. I've read that a teaspoonful of fresh royal jelly and pollen can help with good egg production so I'll be taking that. Increasing my protein and drinking loads of water.
I'm so excited, I really hope this works for us.
