Help deciphering NK cell endometrial biopsy results

I had an endometrial biopsy on Monday testing my Natural Killer (NK) cells.

Just got the results back. The level is 16. The FS said they should they should be between 4 and 6.

Can anyone shed some light on the results???

    Thanks!

Mine were 36 so six times normal.....yours are definitely elevated and you should be looking into more aggressive NK protocols such as high dose prednisone and clexane when cycling, maybe even intralipids (I haven't done intraplids so can't comment on them)...it could definitely be a factor in embryos not sticking

Thanks Melbel!!! I got the sense they weren't ridiculously high levels but high nonetheless. I am doing the colorado protocol and lots of other things for my next stim in four months. I am seeing a different FS who is much more agressive in treatment.

Have you read Dr. beers book "is my body baby friendly"? It explains all this stuff and also recommends a protocol of p
Low dose (5-10mg) prednisone for at least three months prior to cycling to improve the egg quality by allowing the surface damaged eggs to be shed while the prednisone protects the newer ones coming through. we did this the cycle we fell pregnant with Connor and I firmly believe it made all the difference...I am currently on prednisone gearing up for a new cycle in a couple of weeks...fingers crossed we get lucky again.....highly recommend getting hold of the book and having a read it is very interesting stuff.

nothing2lose this probably isn't helpful because i only had the blood test done but they told me normal was up to 12 (& mine was 13), my dr said they don't "jump up and down" until the result is 18 but that they would treat me with clexane if we tried again anyway

Hey N2L so glad u seeing new FS ! I also have elevated NK cells I get treated by Dr Gamal Matthias in Sydney he's lovely. I saw an other dr as well but changed as Dr M looks more at you individually and what needs to be treated for u! U can do phone consults. Def worth getting either of those 2 docs to have a look at results. I also read Dr Beers book and that is the approach Dr Matthias takes.
Fingers crossed the new FS is the answer. X
