I did 1 HRT FET cycle and honestly, I did not notice anything different to a 'normal' cycle. I perhaps had a few more mood swings. Well the HRT was my excuse anyway . Sorry, I wasnt really much help I hope that this is your cycle
I did a HRT FET that resulted in my DD. To be honest I didn't notice any side effects at all, but I had just come off the back of a stimulated cycle - and we all know how great they make you feel so perhaps I just did not notice the symptoms (if that makes sense). I agree with MadB - the pessaries are the worst thing. Also when you get your BFP be prepared to be on the HRT and the pessaries until you are at least 10 weeks pregnant. I wasn't 'weaned' off any drugs at that time, although I know others have been. I just got told to stop cold turkey as the placenta is taking over at that time. That was probably the scariest moment for me in my pregnancy as I had to take a huge leap of faith that my body would do what it needed to do to sustain the pregnancy.
I found the whole process so much easier than the stimulated cycle - physically and emotionally.
I wish you heaps of luck - oh and I didn't get any menopausal symptoms.
Our HRT FET resulted in our DD (after 2 fresh transfers that were BFNs). For me it was probably the best of the three transfers as it was a FET and not a fresh one (so my body wasn't as thrashed!!). Though I can't compare it to a non-HRT FET as I haven't had one of those!
As Janie said you will be on the HRT & pessaries once you get a BFP - I was on them for about 3 months but I did 'wean' off them eg went from 3 pessaries/day to 2 to 1 to 1 every 2nd day etc. Gotta love doing the pessaries at work!! I just had a little tupperware container that contained my pessaries and a couple of gloves that I kept in the work fridge inside another contained labelled with my name - so it just looked like lunch to anyone else ha ha!
Just to be totally different to everyone else and hoping you will be the same as them, my HRT experience was somewhat different. I experienced horrific fatigue to the point, the hour drive home after work was sometimes a no go and the worst migraines I have had in years. On the plus side, my skin and hair were just the bees knees!!!!!
Hoping you get through it with no side effects whatsoever and GOOD LUCK
