Hi wanttobemum and welcome to BellyBelly!

I am a little confused as to when you got your AF. Was it 2 days before egg pick up? It sounds like they still did EPU and got some eggs and that you have one frozen embryo? Did they transfer a embryo after EPU?

A Boost or flare IVF cycles are not always as stable as a down regulated cycle - where they put you on syneral or lucrin for 7-10 days prior to starting your stim (Puregon or Gonal F) drugs. You say this was your first cycle?

I have just finished my first boost cycle. It was actually a first for my FS as the lab he was connected with previously did not offer it.

I started Day 1 with Syneral. (Day1 is the first day of AF if full flow starts before 12pm) Day 2-I started the FSH and continued with both until day 10. Because my follicles were not quite ready, my FS decided to delay EPU by a couple of days and I had my trigger on 12 and EPU on day 14. It was all crazy fast but worked well and got 7 eggs. Some were a little immature so next time my FS says that he will give me a higher FSH which will make them ready.

We discussed how this cycle was a bit of an experiment but I am thrilled to have had 2 embybabies transfered yesterday.

The boost cycle is fantastic for me. My system is not overloaded with drugs and the scientists say this is MUCh more condusive to implantation and pregnancy... yaaaay!

Wanttobeamum, I am not sure what is going on with your cycle, it sounds a bit odd. I am suprised they continued with a EPU if you had ovulated. My FS was watching me like a hawk in case AF arrived. He told me that it would indicate that I was not suppressed enough and that I would have ovulated which would blow all the eggs. Have you spoken with your FS about this? Sometimes they arent to good at explaining things in a way we can understand because they get used to all the lingo and forget that we are not scientists ourselves :/

I hope you are feeling ok.
