Really needing some advice on progesterone!

Hi ladies, im feeling a little low today and wondering if any one can shed some light on progesterone. Here's my cycle details-

I had a frozen embryo transfer on the 24th of April, I had a day 5 embryo transferred. I started using 2x 200mg progesterone pessaries a day on the day of transfer. I did a hoe pregnancy test 11 dpt and got a positive line. I went for a blood test the following day 12dpt and got the great news that I was pregnant with HCG at 172 and progesterone at 100. I had a repeat test 2 days later which was 14 dpt HCG was 499 and progesterone was 84. The nurse did not tell me the progesterone I had to ask, she said straight up "we don't class that as a drop" so I wasn't worried because she wasn't worried. I have also been told by a specialist that progesterone is hard to test as it waivers through your blood stream so the tests can be inconsistent. I have been feeling great, no bleeding, positive, booked my 7 week scan and then a nurse from the clinic returned my call today regarding a blood form they had sent to me with my ultrasound referral. I was just making sure I didn't need another blood test as I was unsure why it was they sent it to me. Any who she goes on to tell me that every woman's progesterone levels are different and the same thing it's hard to be tested. But when we were talking about how it had dropped (I brought this up) she didn't sound too positive saying if it is dropping there's nothing we can do bout it now so there's probably no point having another blood test because it will probably just make me worry waiting for the results. She was really positive and lovely but now I just don't know???? Im wondering if this one is no good and I've gone from this great high to this horrible low. Im not sure if I should have another blood test to put my mind at ease/put me out of my misery or just wait it out for 2 weeks until my scan? I would love to her anyone's thoughts at this point. TIA to anyone who takes the time to read it and reply xxxx

Anything over 60 is a good solid progesterone level. If it had dropped below 60 I'd worry, but I wouldn't be worrying about it being 80.

Thanks Juniper76, I'm just tossing up if I will do another blood test to make sure it hasn't dropped any lower. Good luck with your journey for number 2 x

I only had 1 BT with both my successful pregnancies.

With DD bloods at 16dpo were HCG 305 and Progesterone 80 and with the twins at 16dpo HCG 351 and progesterone 90.

I was on 2 pessaries a day with both pregnancies until 10 weeks, I was told the pessaries don't show in your BT results it is only the naturally produced progesterone that your body in making that will show in the BT, so in reality your progesterone would be higher but can't be tested.

Good luck to your countdown for your 7 weeks scan

Thanks ladies. Still not feeling too positive. I ended up having a blood test yesterday and I got the results today. HCG 1259. Progesterone 51.9. E2 742. I still feel great, no cramping or bleeding but the rapid progesterone drops can't be good. I have been in contact with my specialist and he has agreed for me to start using 4 pessaries a day now. It's so hard to know what to feel, my HCG is more then doubling and the E2 levels are great but then I just keep thinking back to the progesterone levels. The nurse said to have another blood test on Tuesday. I guess this will give a good idea of what's going on as it would have been 4 days since the last blood test and 3 days of being on the higher progesterone dosage. It's really not what I wanted this weekend being mothers day but I have told my self I'm going to try and put it to the back of my mind and enjoy my day with my daughter and mum. Sometimes I just wonder what it was I did in my past life to deserve so much heartache (I guess we all do). Will keep you all posted, pls send positive thoughts and baby dust my way xxxxx

I'm sorry to hear it dropped further. I hope Tuesday's test brings good news.

Hi ladies, well......................good news!!!!! I had my 7 week scan today and we saw the little heart beating away at 128 bpm. Bub is measuring at 6 weeks and 5 days (2 days off my dates) but with my daughter she measured at 5 weeks and 5 days at the 7 week scan so its no concern to me and the lady said if they did an internal scan she may have got a closer measurement to my dates but she was happy with what she got from the external scan. I am so happy and relieved right now! We feel so very lucky xxxx

Hi ladies, I just wanted to quickly pop in to let you all know I'm now 14.5 weeks pregnant! I've had my 12 week scan and everything was great. It still hasn't sunk in that I am pregnant again but we are over the moon! I just wanted to wish you all the best of the luck for your current or future IVF journeys. Thanks for all your support xxxxx
