I just wanted to say hello. This is the first time I have ever been on one of these sites so I'm still trying to understand all the abbreviations! I'll give you a quick run down on my history: diagnosed with severe endo a year and a half ago. Had a lap and hysteroscopy which removed all the endo (temporarily anyway) and the op revealed I had normal fallopian tubes and uterus. Tried naturally to concieve for a year after that with no luck and just had my first I.U.I this month. I have just started my period so the I.U.I obviously didn't work. I will be starting my first stimulated cycle of I.V.F in the next month. Does anyone know anyone who was successful with their first i.v.f cycle?
Hi and welcome to BellyBelly!
You can join in the chatter with other ladies who are LT TTCers or currenting undergoing Assisted Conception (including IVF) HERE.
I was successful on my first IVF (ICSI) cycle, despite being 38 and having a sub-normal ovarian reserve according to my AMH test results. I'm currently 11 and a half weeks pregnant. I know quite a few other girls on here fell PG on the first go, too, although obviously others need to go through several cycles before they get that BFP (a positive pregnancy test).
My first ivf worked a few years ago and DS is now 2. Having a lot more trouble this time around though! Also, Lisa (in the other thread) just got a BFP from her first go. Good luck!
Thank you so much ladies. I feel like there's hope now. I know I cant get my hopes up too much but the fact that people out there do concieve on their first ivf cycle is something that i will keep in mind over the next month. Does anyone have any hints on how they stayed relaxed through the cycle? My DH and I are under quite a bit of stress at the moment due to a number of factors and have been told that we need to do i.v.f sooner rather than later. (Otherwise i would hold off on trying for a few months). Does anyone have any stress relieving tips?
