I'm also doing IVF as a single woman. On my first cycle now (and today is day 1 of my period so the countdown is finally on). On synarel nasal spray at the moment and have been told egg pick up should be around the 12th of April.

I am already a single mum of a 13 yr old. I concieved her naturally when I was in a long term relationship with her father, we got engaged but then split up when I was 16 weeks pregnant so I went through most of the pregnancy and her entire life on my own -he has never seen her. I actually had my first ultrasound the day after my ex and I had split up.

Most important advice I can give at this early stage is surround yourself with supportive people including medical staff. When I was pregnant with my daughter my first gyno/ob appointment was with a hospital appointed medicare bulk-billing one and he was so rude to me about being a single mum that I walked out and vowed he would never see me again. It ended up costing me a bit to use the private one I found but he was very supportive and encouraging and well worth the money. I'm really glad I went with him.
