The title doesn't really make sense but I am not sure how else to put it...
I have a friend who is just starting her first IVF cycle with her DH. They are undergoing IVF due to male factor fertility.
I know a little about IVF and that there are various treatments they could undergo. My friend admits she didn't really ask about the other treatments and accepted that their FS recommended IVF. I also know a little bit about the medications she will undergo during the cycle.
I have tried to find out my own information to better inform myself so that she doesn't need to constantly explain things to me but I am having issues finding stuff that I don't need a medical degree to understand.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some good quality information? I have read some of the threads on BB and I understand a small percentage of them.
i don't know that i can point you anywhere other than the long term threads as most stuff you google will be the technical gibberish that makes everyone feel like an uneducated git! - but if you'd like, i am happy for you to PM me any questions you might have in regards to the process...
Maybe try the Australian Fertility Association/ Society (sorry can't remember which one it's called).
Also, some of the bigger clinics have pretty good websites too.
I have a DVD that I can send to you, that our Fertility Clinic gave to us, that explains and shows each procedure. It's quite educational without being too full on.
