    A few q's...

Where's the best/safest place for carseats in a people mover (kia carnival), back row or middle row of seats?

Also, as larger families do you have a problem with running out of hot water when it comes to shower/bath time? Do you have routines place for when people get to have a shower?

    Thanks.

I can't help you with the car seat problem(not yet anyway but with the hot water, we have no trouble with it, as I still bath the kids altogether and just get them in and out quick during winter, but when we have had really cold nights the hot water system gets cold and we run out, but if that's the case, I have a really quick shower (and I mean really quick) or leave it until morning.

Angel, I think the centre row is best. There are anchors for the tethers behind the centre row, and you can get to the children easily. I'm not sure if you can tether a car seat in the back row....& it's a pain for getting kids in & out.

Shower, ah yes, we went through this just yesterday when everyone had showers & I shivered through mine. Usually it's not a problem because I rarely try to shower in the morning unless i'm up very early. I have mine after the biggies go to school, or at night.

I grew up in a large family & it's always a bit of an issue. Best not to be too regimented about it, I think. It's a real problem only when everyone has something to be ready for at more or less the same time. When you think about it, that doesn't happen too often.

ROFL, for my wedding day my one request (I was at my parents' house) was that I got the first shower of the day!

we time our kids in the shower, and if they dont turn the water off when we tell them, then they have to deal with us walking in ( and seeing them nude) and turning it off for them, if we let them shower as long as they want they will be in there for 30 minutes, we give them 5 minutes only, and with all the issues of water running out at the moment its a great way to let them know you just dont waste water.

we used to let the 3 boys shower together, and the 3 girls, but they all play games and end up sqirting all the water out the window, as the opposite sex is outside the window stirring them on, and know one got washed!!

    Very good question! snap.
We were looking to put the carseat in today (going for a long drive and just in case i am in labour and cant get home (300km)...

We have a 4wd and have split seats in the back seat so 1 x single and 1 x double iykwim? SO i am at a loss where to put it too... i was thinking on the single seat behind the driver so i can see bub well inthe mirror when driving or be able to reach over from the passenger seat but not sure.

I guess we could ask the Ambo's - dont they install and check capsules?
The only risk i see with the centre seat is if you are in an accident there i
s nothing between bub and the glass windscreen - where as the other spots are behind the seats so a little extra safety..... just a thought.

Look forward to people responses .
