Hi everyone
I would love to join this thread - I have 4 lil darlins aged 10, 8, 5 and 3. Some days are nightmarish but everyday is so worth it. I was reading about all you mums wanting more babies and I would have to agree it would be great to have another bub (too bad for me that my DH has had the snip!) but something I have learnt is that the wanting for more babies NEVER goes away! I guess in a way that my DH having the vasectomy made my decision really easy because I think I would have kept going and never known when to stop. So somedays I'm glad that I cant have anymore children because it gives me the opportunity to spend time with my kids that I probably wouldn't be able to do if I had a newborn and a toddler at home - but then there are days when I tell DH that vasectomy reversals can be quite successful! lol .So in the end ladies I think we could keep having babies as long as our body lets us.........and it still wont be enough!!
Life is sweet right now - it is so satisfying watching my children grow up and develop personalities, making friends, trying new sports, learning to do their own hair! - I sometimes wonder if I would notice all these things if there were a baby crying to be fed or a toddler drawing on my walls!!!
I hope to get to know most of you ladies over time. Try to remember that after these school holidays there is 10 whole weeks of school!!
Why is it whenever you send kids in to clean their rooms they always end up even messier :( isn't it also amazing how you can go from having a great day to feeling like ..... in a matter of minutes. Sorry ladies just venting
hi bridget welcome i know what u mean sometimes i should just do it least it would be done probably.
wow ladies I am really lost lol!!! I've been so busy (or slack, take your pick ;))
Hi Bridget!
Hi Bridget,
Welcome to BB our kids are a similar age, lol. Yes I have to agree. It will never leave me, that urge to have more and actually if I could be guaranteed I'd have another boy, I would go back immediately. It would just make things very even and neat, lol. I love being pregnant, even though I'm completely bedridden for a couple of months with M/S, I love birth and babies but when is enough freally enough. Life is hectic as you all know and appreciate. I find it difficult to spread myself any thinner then I'm already spread and couldn't imagine that I'd have time for another baby. Anyway, my DH works overseas(half way through yippeeee) and I really don't have a support network to help me raise my beautiful babies. 5 is plenty, I really shouldn't be so greedy, lol.
Lol oh yeah hey Bridget there's 11 weeks this term, hun, lol.
Hi Plenty good to see you.
Yay for the 11 weeks. I have to agree all my tribe do is fight. And yes it is amazing how quickly a perfectly great day can change in an instant. Already early in the morning and they have already started with each other. Ohhhh when will it eeennnnnnddddd.
Hope all is well with you lovely ladies and welcome to all you newbies.
Hi everyone :hello:
Well the hols nearly over now. That means back to being organised in the mornings :whip:
csab i don't think it ever does not even when they leave home!!!! But i guess we wouldn't have it any other way.
I love mine to bits but they can be very trying at times.
WOW my eldest is home on time and has even brought in the firewood with out asking :clap::clap: mind you this usually means he will be in here asking for something shortly
lucky u we have two weeks left.i usually know when my girls want something they startdoing jobs or being extra nice.
Hi jesabell
yeah i don't think they realise how predictable they are! I was right though, he wanted a sleep over at a mates house! One less for me for the night, i just wish they could do the right thing all the time not just when they want something! Oh well thats kids i suppose!
Sooo predicatable arent they...mine normally start helping out when they want to a recharge for their mobiles lol!
Bridget, Sammy is the result of a vas reversal, so very successful figures out there!!!
Weve just spent the arvo down the beach in the cold and wind collecting shells, seaweed etc. All the kids are thoroughly warn out now though which is great!
Jo
I love mine too bits too. I know if they weren't at each other I would have to wonder whats wrong...
Mine are all together for the first time in a week and a half! The babies are really feeling it with the noise.
Since the last two have arrived home I've asked them to keep their voices down no less than 10 times! You'd think they'd get it, wouldn't you?
Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome.
I have been tough on my 2 older kids these holidays, they have more time at home so I figured they have more time to help me!! I think they realise that the more they help me to get things done the more chance we have of getting out of the house to do some fun stuff. Does anyone else find school holidays expensive?? We have done the movies, ice skating, bought books to read and been out to lunch. I'm sure school fees(and mine go to private school) are cheaper than what I spend on holiday activities!
Jesabell - what a beautiful name.
Coolabahdee-the photo of your kids are gorgeous, I really dont know how well I would cope if my husband had to go away for long periods. You must be one organised mum!!
Jo - I have heard some great success stories regarding vas reversals - glad to hear your sammy is one of them.
thanks bridget itds my youngest girls name.yes i agree school hoildays are expensive we really havent done that much yet but we have two weeks left .ive got two of my girls booked in for a day of trampoolining and gym and cheerleading and thats costing me 70 dollars and the next day we are going to the movies it doesnt take long for money to go.we are hoping to go away next weekend if we can afford it it would be nice if we can i need a hoilday badly
Does anyone else think the cost of movies is shocking? I went to Bridge to Terebithia today and it was $14.50 for me, $10.50 for kids. I had thought it was going to be about $10 for me and maybe $8 kid price? (Which is still too much.) ROFL, obviously too long since I've been to the movies....
