Bath Toy ideas for 4yo ?

Hi all,

I would like to get as part of my recently turned 4.5yo DD Xmas gifts for this year some updated bath toys suitable for her age

Can anyone give me suggestions of bath toys they have seen and where to buy them (and approx how much) ??

and i'm open to hear of any that you don't recommend too (that you thought were overpriced and not worth it)

A gf of mine has bought some "bath paints/crayons". So the kids can write/draw on the sides of the bath and it all washes off easily. I think you get around 5-6 in a pack and they are around $20. I can find out there to get them from if you're interested. I guess the only thing you need to think about it whether or not you think she will continue the drawing throughout the house though

I was going to suggest bath chalk, which is pretty much what was suggested above

4yo ds has a hair-washing jug, some boats, and his bat man characters.

yep bath crayons. We got our first lot as a b'day present, crayola ones. The second lot I got from the Aquarium but baby bunting has them sometimes & they are shaped like pencils, & they were $9.

thanks ladies bath crayons sounds good i've always seen them but never knew if they were ok in washing off properly or might possibly stain the bath, etc !!!
.... thx Sal i never knew Crayola made them, and yeh Baby Co and Baby Bunting might be a good place to shop of some bath toys for her age cause last year we got her a fantastic mesh bag with suction caps that was filled with foam people that you can dress up with clothes, etc was about $16 if anyone here is interested (and a year later it's still like new)

I saw on eBay a Dora doll that swims !

She loves boats & trucks as much as dolls to give you ladies ideas (although she already has a decent size boat) !

we have a swimming Dora, we have foam letters that stick on the wall when wet, ummm different sized plastic balls that float and different cups to put them in, marine plastic animals (like a farm set but stuff like whales/squid/fish), from Kmart I got a shower thingy that attaches via suction cup and you push a big button and the shower squirts (it's a bit useless IMO).
I just keep them in a basket in the laundry and rotate them from time to time.

I saw in early learning centre the other day some flutes that you use in the water - I think they float at different heights to make the different notes. There were 5 or 6 in a pack and they were for age 3+. I can't say whether they're any good or not, but they looked fun and I would've bought them for DD but the age thing concerned me.
