Major Decision - Putting Myself Higher Up The List

Long story short. I've decided that instead of using the extra repayments that I made on the house before I met DP to pay for renovations, I will instead withdraw them to use as MY savings for whatever I want.

That means I can quit work and study instead and we could afford for me to hopefully take two years off. Looking at studying Public Policy because hey, might as well put the world to rights.

So instead of me staying in a job that I despise because I think I should work (because I've ALWAYS worked), I've decided ... stuff it, I'm going to concentrate on what makes me happy instead. You only live once.

And I also feel ripped off that my maternity leave with DD wasn't the chilled-out bliss I imagined it to be because for the first six months I was in serious pain (with SPD) and we were starting renovations.

So ... that is my big announcement for tonight. Going to start prioritising my own happiness from now on. I still feel a tad guilty and am looking for some validation as you can all probably tell!
