Mine is a Broadacre Cereal cropping and Prime Lamb producer (or Farmer in laymans terms :rofl: ) and he is also a Serviceman/fitter/leading hand at a gold mine. Which is just either driving a fuel truck to refuel the trucks and loaders, helping fix and service the machinery or he runs the maintenance crew when the regular leading hand is away.
My DH works at the Shell Oil Refinery in Geelong.
My DH is an academic. ATM he is a Senior Researcher for a uni here in melb and does research in settler/colonial studies.
ATM mine works in the freezer section of an abbitoir.
He was a roof tiler for about 10 years & a shearer for 2 or 3.
He worked for a garbo company/recycling station for 2 years too.
Bit of everything, lol. He calls himself a shearer, I call him a roof tiler :D
my DH is a dairy farmer, ( well we both are its just that i dont milk the cows lol). we are share farmers on a 170 cow farm so he pulls on tits twice a day :)
My DF is a lab technician.
DH is a high school teacher, same as me !
DH is a Team leader of Postal delivery Officers (posties LOL) He doesn't deliver much mail these days though he just co-ordinates those who do. DS loves going to daddy's work to see all the bikes.
DP is a mental health case manager working with clients that have a dual diagnosis of brain injury and a mental illness.
DF is a barrister and also does alot of legal aid.

DH is an FF&E consultant. That's Furniture, Fittings and Equipment - he manages the manufacture and install of anything that's not nailed down in large commercial projects. In other words he sits at a computer all day long! ;)
my dp used to be a site boss at a mine but he changed carers in feb and gone back to truck driving he does super spreading atm
which is interesting the amount of work that goes into driing round and round a padok for 10 hrs a day
DP is a police officer - we both are ;)
My DF is a cabinet maker by trade and is currently working as a Production Manager in a timber mill
DP works in Melb as an IT business analyst !!
Lets just say i can get my hands on very cheap Berlei lingerie, brands of sexy heels sold at Myers, & Sheridan linen ... yeh, nice ' mix ' put together ;)
... and for the kids, Bonds babywear/clothes & Clarks shoes (i make friends with Mum's very easily, LOL :D)
Until the end of next week he works for a corporate event company doing sound, lighting, staging, etc. He's quite proud of the fact that one of his first jobs when he started there was David Beckham's product launch of his new fragrance (this was at the end of 2007). I'm still miffed that he dumped me in hospital for a week so that he could do it!
After next week, he'll be national tech support and prodcut development for a cash register importer once again... He's returning to company he used to work for about three years ago, doing the same job as before for almost twice the pay as before (they realised how much they needed him when he left!)

Min is a Line Leader in a large Australian Smallgoods company. He basically gets to boss a lot of people around and zoom around on a forklift all day! He works very hard, and takes a lot of pride in his work :) He has been there for about 12 years now.
On the weekends and two nights a week, his is a pro AFL footballer...oh and a AFL footy coach who has millions and millions to spend on players when heis doing the supercoach thing with the herald sun, and in the summer of course he is a professional cricketer.......(well, in his mind ;) ) Aren't I sooo lucky!
(Actually I am very blessed, he is a wonderful Dad, I was even able to go back to work when DS was 4 weeks old, cos DH had the whole juggling two kids thing down pat! He even does the creche run on the day that they are there each week.)
My DH is the maintenance man for two of the DFO shopping centres here in Brissy.
He was also a truckie for 20 odd years and was also in the Army for 7-8yrs.

My dh is a chef, as am I.
We are self employed, have had our own cafe nearly 8 months now! love working for ourselves.It's hard work but rewarding.
Before that we were both working in fine dining restaurants in melbourne

DH is currently a carer loking after disabled people in their homes. Before this he used to be a nurse.
He has also been a chef, and a roadie for rock concerts (pity that this was before I met him, I would have loved to be around and seen some of the concerts he worked on).
Cool thread :) Some of these jobs sound interesting - and what a varied bunch we have here!! All walks of life, etc :) Isn't it great that we can all come together because we have one thing in common (being parents!) even though we are all from different backgrounds?
My DH is currently a shed-hand in a scrap metal yard. Prior to that, he has made a buck from doing IT, working in a paddle-pop stick factory (I kid you not, we make paddle-pop sticks in town here, so think of my DH every time you treat yourself to an ice-cream!), a few office/retail jobs (as in, places like Officeworks/photocopier repair businesses), and... dealing (which, funnily enough, is how we met... those days are long gone now though!!).
My DH is a train electrician.
He wires up the drivers cabins.

Has also run his own photography lab though "running" and DP should not be put in the same sentence as he's really not a planner. Marches to the beat of his own drum (or the toot of his train) does my DP.

My DP is in the car industry - he works for subaru as a finance manager - used to be in sales with them though and before he started selling cars he was a roof tiler!
