    Blastie Thawing

    Hi Girls

We are going to be doing a FET cycle in September/October. We have 4 blasties frozen and our specialist wants to put 2 back in this time instead of one. I have read that it's approx 70% chance that they will survive the thaw so do you thaw just 2 blasties and hope for the best or do you thaw all four??????????

    Thanks

Hi Jade, usually the clinic will thaw them one by one, so if you want two put back they thaw the first two, then if one of those doesn't make the thaw, then they'd thaw another one. The clinic knows within an hour or so if the emby is going to survive the thaw. The clinic will confirm your wishes, you can opt for thawing of two and two only even if one or both don't survive. Yep - what Sal said Jade. They wont waste them on you. As for the thaw rate, We've had two FETs and in thawing have never lost one.

We are probably going to be doing a FET either Sept/Oct or Oct/Nov too, so you may just have a cycle bud to bite your nails with...

We have never lost an emby on the thaw.

We may have a few more cycle buddies, as we are doing a FET in Sep too.

Sticky vibes for all of us!
