    FET advice please

    Hi girls,
I'm just amount to have a FET on a natural cycle and am monitoring with OPK's.
I was told to take the OPK with FMU.
THis morning I recorded a negative but have been having heaps of ovulation pain.
When I got home from work I did another test and this one came up positive. (I've always done OPK's in the afternoon)
On my last FET I really felt that the transfer was done too late and I would like a BT tomorrow.
If I ring and say I have a positive tomorrow then I won't get the BT til Friday.
    So,
my question is: do I push to have the BT tomorrow? Wait for Friday?
or am I just being paranoid??

    Thanks in advance

My only suggestion would be to do another test first thing in the morning, then you would probably have time to call the clinic and get the bt with a positive. If its +ve and strong you can use that as the argument for a bt that day...

Good luck, natural montoring certainly comes with its own trials.

    Hi Star-bright,

When I had my FET I had to test with an OPK morning and night (only over the weekend when the clinic wasn't able to do BT's) until I had a +ve and then I had to drive to the hospital and have them take my blood (clinic had an association with the hospital and they were right next door). I believe the BT is quantatative, as in you have to reach a certain amount of hormone in your blood for them to consider it your surge... If you get them to test tomorrow and there is not enough they should just test the next day anyway... This is what my clinic does anyway... My point is I guess is that you are paying them to track your surge and you should be able to demand your BT if this will give you some peace of mind... Good luck with your FET... I got a +ve on my 2nd FET so I can tell you that they work...

    Thanks for your replies.
I decided to take control and rang first thing this morning.
The nurse I spoke to was lovely and said I could go in and get a blood test.
When I got there, I told them I got two equal lines yesterday (I just left out the part that it was the afternoon instead of the morning)
All was going well until I had the internal ultrasound. I got someone who was training and had her supervisor there. They made me feel really really uncomfortable, but that's a whole other story.

Phone call this afternoon confirmed my suspicions and they said I will 'O' tomorrow. So I am super happy I made sure BT was today and not tomorrow. Transfer booked for next Wednesday. (Thaw on day 5, transfer on day 6)
