Well if my hubby had his way I'd be doing a FET soon but I'm holding him off while BFing.

Hey lu, I have no immediate plans but hubby wants to asap. I've told him I won't stop BFing to have a FET so he will have to wait. He doesn't seem to realise he should just really enjoy Wyatt first! I think he is just in a hurry to complete the family as he thinks he is old.
I don't live in Sydney but I did all my cycles at SIVF.
Good luck with this cycle, I'll be stalking!
Congrats on your first hun... how old is he?
its great that you have some left over to do a fet!

Dr ML...
Molisa are you trying another dr within sivf or branching out. I was going to change clinic at one point but decided I didn't want to do all the lead up work again.
I was so devo'd by my first 2 cycles I could just never see the light at the end, I NEVER thought it would happen. I decided my 3rd was my last, went in with an I don't give a poop attitude and when all that stress and anxiety was gone it just all came so easy. At least it seems that way now... Maybe I should read back to that cycle on here and refresh. It's coming up on a year from when I started that 3rd cycle. Wow!
Luisella - good luck for EPU etc - how is the stimming going? When is EPU scheduled? Thinking of you!
Molisa - good luck with your consultation!
Weemansmummy - glad to hear things are going well!
Can I ask, are you able to transfer embryos that are carriers? My DP will be going next with PGD (yes I'm already thinking about it and twins are only 10 weeks old!!) - DP's a carrier for haemophilia, X-linked so would expect on average 25% of her embryos to be carriers and 25% to be affected - and 50% unaffected. We can do sex selection if we want (only put females back - only males get affected by haemophilia but females can be carriers) but I think we'll check for the specific gene defect (more expensive unfortunately but just somehow sits better with me than flushing all the male embryos down the drain - obviously this is an individual decision though). But I can't remember what we were told a few years ago as to whether they allow you to put carrier embryos back? In some ways we wouldn't want to, just so the gene issues end in this generation; so that a potential DD wouldn't have to go through PGD - then again, who knows what technology will be available for our kids??
Has anyone else had a dilemma about putting carrier embryos back?
Hey Foxy!!! How are your gorgeous twinnies? Id so love to see them!
We had the same decision to make re sex selection or gene selection and went with the gene selection because i felt the same about chucking out our boys and then probably ending up with carriers. Plus in very rare cases some girls have been affected with CGD. We were totally allowed to put our carrier in but the Dr talked us into a fresh cycle instead so luckily we didnt need to put her in, id hate to out her through what i went through. BUT i honestly think when our bubs are having bubs this will all be so much easier :)
Foxy 77: thanks for your thoughts so far so good
Can I ask what clinic u r with ? Did they transfer 2 embys? My doc will only ever do 1.....
weemansmummy; thanks for sharing,,,
